*** Official Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning Thread***

Ok Ive just signed up on AoF site, not sure I can make it on tonight but im going to try the other 2 healer classes (shami and Zealot) before headstart comes around.

My DoK is on another server but I'm looking for some people to play with, People make the game after all.

Because it’s much more unusual for people to play multiple MMO’s, so people are less inclined to switch from WoW unless they think it’s definitely better. Where as just because an FPS isn’t better than HL2 or an RTS isn’t better than C&C doesn’t mean you arnt going to play it, as long as its good.

Personally I’m planning to try to play both though.

The website for the US tracks the state of the War on each server. Any sign of something like this from GOA?

Thats pretty true. the only time I did it was when I was playing EQ2 SWG and Planetside, but SOE had a good structure (station pass) and the games were very diffrent.

They're 'working on it'. If it's like the days of DAoC, the US data will be much more detailed and comprehensive than what is released from the UK servers. In DAoC days it was released as an xml feed which you could consume with your own applications, which was pretty good.
 
ooo back door worked this time, now have valid account, now to hope the beta key registration works just as promptly, amazing what you can get done in a work lunch break now all the kids are back at school
 
Hopefully after the last few days Mythic will have finally woken up to what a shower of wasters GOA are, and will push them a bit harder to produce something decent.

Wouldn't bet on it though :/

So out of curiosity, how many people who said they now wouldnt play WAR because of the open beta fiasco have now actually managed to get into the game and have played it and thought, Ah..actually this is pretty good, I will play it after all ;)
 
Will be playing in about 3 weeks time. Too much work on at the mo, pc/server builds and wedding photographing at weekends... pays nice though.

We all going destruction then?
 
Bloody EA! Just purchased the pre order through the EA store and got my email confirming purchase etc and now i can't even find any frickin sign of downloading the beta client or anything?!? The email says to check your orders log into the store and view order history, but there is no order history??? Man im confused!
 
Well i was going to play it either way, depending how GOA handles head start will depend on if i play EU or US.
If i lose a day a single day of head start i wont be happy. beta i was miffed but meh its just a play around anyways none of my chars will transfer across so *shrugs*
 
never said i wouldnt play, just very miffed at the apparent lack of ability of GOA which is not putting me off the game, but making me rather woried about the long term survivability of the game if GOA have any more screw ups
