Swearing on the forums? Can we clear this up

A few months ago there was a thread like this and im 99% sure the conclusion went like this.

Your allowed to

have a letter like for example
Z
and finish off the rest with stars.

Example Z*****

This was acceptable I thought. But I got a two day suspension for doing this. The rules change everyday it appears. Could some mods clear this up please.

Pretty sure its always been the rule to fully star out swearwords.

no in all the threads on this (search) it's the whole word stared out you're allowed suffixes ie ing/ed but none of the actually swear words letters.

First letter is a nono.

Only things like ****ed are acceptable.

No, you must fully star out the words.

What I find funny is that quite a lot of people on here get away with blatantly swearing while others get punished.

Make some filters! Arse is not a sweary. There are a lot of swearwords that seem to me to be ridiculous though such as wee starting with p if you understand.

Wasnt there a thread on this just several days ago? Also i dont see why its so complicated, the rules says try not to swear, and if you must, star out every letter of the swear word.

Is that too complicated to understand?

I think what would be most useful is a comprehensive list of all the words that aren't allowed. Here are the ones I can think of:

That word isn't - knob is open to interpretation
