Crikey. What went wrong?

The first car right... crashed and then hit the second car.

That's crazy damage for what seemed a fairly low speed impact. Gold one has to be a write off?

It wasn't low speed, they were doing over 60mph. Reason there is so much damage to the gold car is largely to do with the fact that the crumple zone of the white car was already totalled by the crash into the wall.

It wasn't low speed. As Clarkey said above, they were doing 60+ mph. If the conditions were dry they would have been approaching 100. The videos don't really give an accurate idea of the impact, it was huge IRL. I thought at the time that one or both drivers had to have been badly injured. I was amazed when they both got out and walked away.

What an impact! Really good to see both guys were ok, especially looking at the damage on the gold car.

What happened? The white car just seemed to drift to the left for no real reason. Was he trying to start a drift or was it a mechanical failure or just an accident? (obviously all 3 are accidents)

I don't quite understand his reactions there.. the car starts to head towards the side of the track, but he still leaves the rear wheels locked

EDIT - Hmm, ok he's trying to get slide round that bend.. but understeers into the side, I will shut up now

The white car (being driven by Shane Lynch of ex-Boyzone fame) snapped back the wrong way after he started to initiate the drift (21secs into the vid).

I thought it was him. Hes still to find anything he is good at.

To be fair he's actually pretty good at drifting, and has won a few events. It was just an unfortunate accident in bad conditions.

Nasty stuff. Ive seen him drift at teeside he aint bad by any account. Looks like he went for a faint to drift in the wet and the back end stepped out of line too early. Unlucky accident glad they both got out ok.
