Illustration of my wife

I know this thread is probably dead and gone but I've been hacking away having a go at doing something like this since I first saw it and this is what I'm coming up with so far

I did it in inkscape but better results are probably possible using adobe illustrator, I just couldn't afford it.

Anyway I just made large blocks of colour and took the advice mentioned in this thread to set the blend to multiply on layers above for shadows. Once all the block colour was added I added a few lines here and there to give a little emphasis to bits of the image.

That was all really, just needs a lot of patience really, thats why Its taken me so long to do since first reading about it here, cos I had to do it in little bursts otherwise I would have gone insane.

If you have any questions about how I specifically did something let me know I'll try to explain
