aye the chosen is deffo a lot more defensive, i cant say much for the ironbreaker or black orc but from what ive seen the black orcs are deffo more dps than defensive.
Chosen tend (or ive found) to be the damage takers trying to block people from getting to the "squishys"

Hehe I keep shouting hold the line on vent when I buff that skill :D. Squishies love me :p

Think they will ever remake UO then ? or do you think it has been ditched all together ?
Such a shame so many people would play it

Sadly I dont think UO2 will ever come about, and if it does it wont resemble UO in the ways that made it great. The MMO userbase has changed too much now for most people to play something like UO.

Remember, UO had no quests, no uber purple loot, no level indicators on mobs, it was a harsh MMO world where you made your own stories, your own quests and set your own goals. These days too many MMOers have gotten used to having the game almost tell them what to do, where to go, what to fight. I dont think they would settle for a game as open , non-linear and free as UO nowadays.

All we can do now as ex-UOers, is look back with wonderful memories of a time in an MMO where we decided our story, where we really were worried about leaving the safety of town and heading into the wild, where we weren't running dungeon x over and over and over again for 3 months in the hope that we would get that purple drop/set item etc, where we had no idea if we could actually beat a monster until we tried and died.

I am enormously happy that I got the chance to experience UO in its prime (pre-trammel), and yet at the same time I am sad too, because I've spent the last near decade searching for a game to equal it, and failed every time to find one which even came close.

I bow to UO. Simply the greatest game of any genre (in its prime) that I have ever had the good luck to play
