Why is it that people think the US goverment staged this to goto war in Iraq? Didnt they go to war in Iraq down to the fact that the Iraq goverment kept obstructing the UN inspectors and not letting them do there job? The UN passed a resolution saying that if they did it again they would use force. They did it again instead of the UN being true to there word they basically gave them the same ultimatum which of course they broke again. We all know what happened in the end the US and co went in (rightly or wrongly) as they assumed the original UN resolution still stood. The attack and invasion of Afghanistan was down to the TERRORIST attacks on the twin towers, etc, as that was a known al qaeda strong hold. As for the argument about oil and thats why the US invaded i read somewhere that it has cost the US goverment more money than the oil in Iraq so that was a bit of Fail if that was the case.
The funnist thing i remember about this conspiracy theory was the "lost" bbc videos that dissapeared, it was down to the CIA, FBI, MI6 etc according to the conspiracy theorists, the truth was somone stuck it in the wrong year!
Its one of those things that you wont convince either side to which is truth, i tend to be in the Camp C, side of things, it was an act of terrorism that killed those people something perhaps the US goverment had enough info to stop but they didnt, and we shouldn't trivialise the deaths of thousands of people by listening to people with an axe to grind against the US goverment.
