Playing F19 and Railroad Tycoon (1?) on a mate's Amstrad prehistoric PC was what started me down this *huge* waste of life and money. My first PC was bought as soon as I read a PC Zone review for the flight sim 'Tornado'. It was all downhill from there. Alone in the Dark, IndyCar Racing, X-Wing, ah.... those were the days... and nights... and weekends.
lunar - type in game from a magazine for the zx81
kick start - spectrum - great game, based on the TV show about trial bikes
oh mummy - amstrad cpc (came free) - awful
rambo - C64 (ah the C64 scrolling and sprites were fantastic - not to mention the music - rob hubbard anyone?)
star wars game - atari st
??? - amiga (I can't remember)
leisure suit larry - PC (cool game)
Alone in the Dark on a Tiny PC we had to practically remortgage to buy. IIRC, the processor was something ridiculous like an original Pentium, with a clock speed of about 90mhz, and that was an upgrade!
Amstard 2386 and my reason for getting a PC was Pool of Radiance and most of the AD&D series that followed. This was a long time ago, back when those days were the good old days.
