I'm hoping that means you don't need the disc in the drive for the audio, there's nothing worse than waiting for the DVD to spin up every time you get in a car and the radio comes on.

Erm, you never had to except if you installed it that way that there is no music on the hdd :confused:

Not too sure bout GTA III but VICE and SA definitely store the radio's on the HDD...

the radio stations are an optional install.

18gb wow.......im also guessing this will be for graphics improvements.

I agree there.
And the poster who said it'd take 3 games, i agree with that as well.
GTA3 started with one compact city and by the time it got to SA, the area was huge.
Its just a limitation with what they can do at the moment with consoles. Same as it was with PS2.

Ive completed GTA4 on PS3, but im still planning on picking it up on PC, because i think i'd enjoy it more with a smooth frame rate.

Dont know why everyone is complaing about the install size. Its not like HDD space is expensive anymore. Its a natural progression.
I bet if you were to get the average HDD size from 3 years ago and then the average game install size, and compared it to the same stats nowadays, its probably somewhat proportionally the same.

well that is kk considering age of gonan is more then 30 gig and upcoming games will be 50 gig like for example Rage

the time from Blue ray is coming and huge harddrive space would be required hopefully fast hardrives will release something like 500gb versions
