Did it with my civic that i bought of ebay as well. Only cost me 29 quid to pick it up (i paid for my friends train ticket and in return he drove us to b'ham) and yeah, i got the insurance quote all sorted the day before and then rang up and started the policy when i had the keys in hand. I didn't have a plan on getting back to b'ham had the car been a complete crapper but i was less worried as it was owned by a preludeUK member who seemed to know what he was talking about (his brother also had a very nice eg9 civic vti and he had just bought an accord type r hence selling)
