You have to go and select the golden guitar from the character customisation screen.

I just got the Wii version of Rock Band (just the game)
I have th GH3 guitar, I was told I could use the guitar from GH3 in Rock Band
When I try to do a solo, it says I dont have a mic plugged in, and I cant go any further to play it without it! whys it saying that??

cant speak for the wii version but that would only happen on the 360 if i selected solo tour using the control pad instead of the d-pad on the guitar.
but as the wiimote plugs into the guitar, errr, read the manual? as i have no idea
GH3 controller doesn't work according to:

Pretty funny as i googled for a UK patch this morning and a thread popped up on the Playstation UK forums which said there was one released. Then checked the date and saw it was today! Great!
May have to get the Xbox version when i'm home!
I don't suppose any of you have Rockband on the Wii? I'm not that interested in DLC as I probably wouldn't buy any if I had it on the 360.

I seem to be improving quite a bit on the drums now. Getting the hang of most of the songs, only taken me 3 months! Practice does make perfect on this game though. Got some achievements earlier, 5 wins in a row in ranked score duel/100% Vocal's on Expert and Riding on Coattails (played with a platium artist). Got the last one completely out of the blue whilst playing a ranked game.
