I've noticed this. My girlfriend is totally uninterested in games aside from wii fit basically, however she has seen videos of Home and LBP and really wants to get into those, like, really REALLY wants to play em especially LBP.

I think Sony is extremely aware of the potential audiences Home can bring in. That's why they've directly compared it to the Sims and Second Life many many times before in the past.

I've got to agree with the others who are saying I don't quite get what is trying to be achieved. I mean its second life crossed with habbo hotel that you can use to invite people to ps3 games. But surely you'd just load the game up 1st

It's free. Stop moaning. If you can chat to and meet other people, organise games within a virtual game lobby and launch games from there, excellent! PS3 users have nothing to lose. IT IS FREE! If you don't like it then don't download or use it. simple.

Really is that needed?

CoD4 for example, the lobby does that job fine.

The only games that need such a thing are going to be **** ones, all modern multiplayer games should have a lobby system.
