Can we expect to see WoW style PvE dungeon raids?
God I hope not. There is Mount Gunbad but it's like a giant PQ dungeon instance only by faction, with only the last boss instanced by group.

So what server is everyone on here? Hopefully most are on one main server?
Barring a burglar in LOTRO (and that class had 3 times the skill juggling of every other class in that game) I've yet to play a game which required as many skills as WAR to play a class well.
I might only be judging the early play, but the T1 area isn't that short, and i'm comparing it to other low areas in other games, where it is lacking in every single department. Its a rare find to find a game lacking in every single sense possible, that suddenly gets better than the competition later on.
Just a point to add.
I just made a Bright Wizard, and I levelled from 1 to lvl 4 purely by doing pvp
its bloody brilliant fun
o__O How long did that take you?
Also, going to buy the game from Tesco's today! (lol)
We've had the postie nick a few things recently and I think this has been added to his list![]()
Less than an hour i would say. Ive done about 3 of the easy starter quests. Then i signed up for the scenario quests.. Sorry i got from lvl 2-4 in a pretty short time. Doing the scenario a few times.
its a nice addition

I know you have your own strong opinions and you manage to put them forward without sounding like your out for an argument, and i like that. I always look forward to your posts.
How do you think this game compairs to LOTRO? Although maybe it cant be compaired as LOTRO is a PvE and WAR is PvP.
I know from what i have read WAR seems to have a lot less things to do for the avid quester like me, but i also found it hard to progress the main story in LOTRO due to a lack of people to party with. I cant help but think WAR will end up like that.
The sorc has no crowd control, or, well, anything, except damage spells :S
Seems a bit boring... I can't imagine that so many different spells that just do different amounts of damage will be useful.
I guess you might have to consider that this game just isn't for you. After 10+ years of MMOs, I'm bored silly or having to read lots of pointless quest text which amounts to kill 30 of <x mob> because they killed my wife/son/brothers monkey. In WoW and LOTRO I simply skimmed the text looking for the objective. I play such games for the social aspects now, not for the dev created background story.

Yes, reading every text gets boring, but reading for clues is less about the story and more about another aspect to the game, a slight difficulty, something to damn well do to be honest. Theres no real "main" story going in so far in War either, its dull as anything, but the main thing is, there is no social aspect at all. I've been in a bunch of groups for Pq's and theres barely a word said, before, after, traveling to other pq area's, nothing. Theres no conversation from most people in the world, and theres zero background style chatter. No one needs to ask where certain things are as they can't find them, so theres no help being given and no conversations starting. The social side, apart from a horrible chat box style making it horrible to read, seems non existant so far. Thats the problem, you need a little complexity, and difficulty, to get people to help each other to find and do things. Without that, people are being incredibly quiet and playing on their own a hell of a lot. Its actually by far, and I mean insanely by far the quietist MMO i've ever been in.
Lotro, or wow, unless I'm up at 5am for some reason and one of the only people online there are always people talking, and groups that have people talking, hell even at 5am that will happen.
Quests don't make or break an mmo, they are just an alternative way of grinding from lvl 1-40. If you enjoyed the questing in wow, anywhere close to the enjoyment of raids/dungeons/pvp then you are a minority, sorry.
