£100,000,000 on this firdays Euromillions?

IF someone were to win the £100m, where would you put it so that it's safe. You couldn't use a bank as only the first £35k is protected and that's an awful lot of different bank accounts you'd need to open. You'd also need a damn big matress to store it under.

If you had that kind of money you wouldn't be using a normal bank account and you'd be able to pay for expert advice on how best to save/invest it.

Clearly if ANYONE posts in this thread they should send the others 10K each!

I did wonder, if you worked it out if you could buy every combination and be guaranteed to win, though even if the initial cost was less than the jackpot, you can't prevent someone else winning and only getting half the winnings.

i'm looking forward to the win here.

just started uni, so i think that a "little" windfall is due, eh?

Also, £10,000 from Metalface Mark :D

bear in mind that ticket sales feed back into the jackpot, so, buying every possible combination would increase the jackpot considerably.

nevertheless, its unlikely you'd be able to BUY ever combination. the Lottery people would probably just say "bugger off"

What?

Where's the logic in missing out combinations like 1,2,3,4,5,6 or 10,11,12,13,14,15?

Don't tell me they have less chance of coming up? :D

Got to love it when someone implies their numbers are more likely to come up than 1 ,2 ,3 ,4 ,5 ,6 :)

On a serious note though, if you were putting 5 sets of numbers down, do you have a better chance of winning the jackpot with all the bets on one week, or over five...

My O'level stats tells me you have a greater chance of winning the jackpot with it all on one week!

But you do of course have the chance of winning more than once, if you do it each week.

If I won tonnes of money this may sound very selfish but I'm not sure I'd give my siblings loads as I think if you have lots of money you'll probably be lazy at school etc.

I'll be buying a ticket but I'm in 2 minds about whether I should spend the next 4 days day-dreaming about what I'd spend it on. Whenever I've done that in the past I've never won a penny, so maybe the idea is to buy the ticket then not think about it at all until after the draw has taken place.

However, just bemusing myself by thinking what I'd spend it on (property in London, France, Canada, Tokyo... fast cars... faster women) is a fun way to spend the next few days and is probably worth the fiver I'll spend on the tickets.

ps - Metalface Mark, if I do win the jackpot, I'll give you £10K too.
