It's the first night race. The whole track will be lit up (three times as bright as the best football floodlights) and no they won't fit lights to the cars as it won't be very aerodynamic!
Haha, poor old DC.Well DC has driven most of this years races with his eyes shut if that counts.
Does anyone know if the teams have done any night testing anywhere?
The air temperature in Singapore at 8pm is still 28-30C, the track temperature isn't going to be huge but it's still going to be reasonable, probably no worse than the early European season races.hopefully the night will mean a cool/cold track giving the drivers hell for tyre temperature and we see some racing/spins

I'm a bit dubious about this track. After the abject failure of Valencia to provide anything in the way of good racing, I'm concerned that this might go the same way if it stays dry even with it being held at night. If it's wet....hoo boy. Night-time, so it won't dry much, and temperatures will plummet making the tyre situation very dicey indeed. Especially for Ferrari, who seemingly struggle to retain heat rather more than McLaren.
We need a controversy-free race. But I fear we'll not only get that, but a boring one as well if the track proves to be another Valencia.
ITV have a gallery up with some shots of the track - http://www.itv-f1.com/photo.aspx?im_id=50225
This pic caught my eye, it's the part of the track that goes under the grandstand - how narrow?!

Maybe Bernie will create his own team and bring back Ralf and Ide, so they can um... create some crashes![]()
