Crysis Warhead, <20fps on high specced Quad core pc at gamer settings???

Can't wait to play this on my rig, and play it without complaining :)

It will be awesome.

how some of you have these massive Quad cores and new 8600 cpu's etc and get pants fps I will never know :p

Maybe I'm just not piccy.

Im guessing my 3870 will strugglle with warhead, but crysis I got a avg of 42fps and 27fps min. 1440x900, all settings on high accept for the post processing and the shadows on med. But the reason I have the post processing on med is cos the blurr cant be turned off if its set as high.

It runs ok apart from the driving parts. So far, warhead has been a big let down for me. I just can't get into when the ragdoll's are so retarded. It just doesn't feel like I'm shooting down people with powerfull weapons. I'd rather have death animations in COD4 than random ragdoll floating body deaths.

See, it times like that where Endorphine 'animations' would help.

As a lot of the time if you get blasted with something your not going to die instantly...You'll fly through the air then die...while flaying your arms around :p

whats warhead like on the 4850's how will run mine run? any demo out
quadcore at 3.2ghz 2gb ram 1x 4850 512

check the specs in my sig. :p i ran on just gamer settings@1680x1050 and still got massive slowdown in parts. my gfx is at stock though. i think it needs clocking. :p

Also where is the 64bit version? Crysis and Farcry both had 64bit versions.

I'm getting arround 4fps on the bit in the hovercraft at enthusiast settings (no AA), running it at gamer setting gets the framerate up in most parts of the game but its still pretty slow on parts, noteable the hovercraft and the bit where you aproach the Sub in the Harbour. Spec in sig running at 1920*1200. the 9800gx2 is by no means the best card out there but I though it might be able to handle 24" gaming with no AA.

Why is my fps so low, on crysis warhead, slower than crysis, and it is on gamer settings 4x aa. Less than 20 fps.

New system, 1st game ive played on it, could be hardware?

If it's the first game you've played on the system how do you know it's slower than Crysis?

64-bit version is C:\program files (x86)\EA\Crytek\Crysis\ <--should be a 64-bit folder and create shortcut of Crysis.exe (not the 64-bit one) to desktop.

Will now run in 64-bit mode.

On my old S939 rig it used to stutter a lot and i really noticed the lack of AA running on 1920*1200 but after a new build (Q9550, 2x3870, 4xGB RAM 1066) it was totally fine. It was a lot smoother and didnt notice the jagged edges anymore.

tip. When FPS get a little low i push the Post Processing down to HIGH and it runs fine again.

Its the Q6600 at stock thats killing it. If it were running at 3/3.2GHz it would make a huge difference.

My Q6600 booted up at 2.2Ghz the other day so i benched warhead. there was less than a 2fps difference between that and it at 3.2Ghz.. Unless of course your sli'ing or something that would be bottlenecked by that speed. MY GT's fine
