Its also on freeview if you can get that too.

Because he is drunk.
We bought each other 2 pints each besides what others bought him.
The face was a put on for the pic.
This was May 22nd and he told me then what you're all learning now.

Well done for keeping the secret then, I admire your integrity.

PK!

Tell us more Poole. What is the secret episode all about? It's no good bragging that you knew about it all along once the cat is out of the bag!

Through the beer he mentioned that there was going to be more Red Dwarf stuff and then asked me to keep it quiet which I did.
He also didn't know there were 9 red Dwarf DVDs and I sent him the 9th in the post.
He told me that he never actually met Angelina Jolie.
He rehearsed with an actress, walked on scene and walked back off again.
He also asked if my students were really 16 years old - dirty bugger.

I look really old on this pic -

Please, please let this be better than series 7&8 - they were desperately unfunny. I'd gladly welcome it back if it isn't going to suck.

The fact that it's being made for Dave suggests it's going to be a steaming pile of brown stuff. But I will wait and see.

I'm glad it's being done on Dave and not the BBC.

If you remember the last couple of series, it was produced totally different to what made Red Dwarf, Red Dwarf.

The low budget set and stuff added to the comedy. When all of this CGI nonsense was brought in due to the BBC giving them a bigger budget it took some of the old school Red Dwarf away. Hopefully this will be put back into place come the new series.

I really liked series 7. Tikka to Ride, Stoke Me a Clipper and Ouroboros are absolute gems!!! Some of the humour falls flat due to the dynamics being changed i.e. departure of Chris Barrie, replaced with Chloe Annett, but that's the only fault. I think that's the core of Dwarf and changing that was the problem and not the increased production values and effects.

I'm really keen to find out what the amazing plot of the special is, that they're keeping under wraps. Are there any rumours as to what it is?

The CGI was done because it was cheaper than model shots.

The BBC Model Shop had to make a profit under the new BBC regs, so they put their prices up - and out priced Red Dwarf's budget.

Personally, Series 7 was the low point, but had the occasional high point - not many, but enough. The biggest downer for me was that it wasn't filmed with an audience.

Series 8 had a some classic Dwarf moments in - the first 3 episodes Back in the Red parts 1-3 were funny throughout - and it had an audience. :D

The first three episodes of 7 are gold, I swear. They had some great and original ideas in there.

Tikka to Ride - JFK conspiracy episode, sheer genius.
Stoke Me a Clipper - Ace Rimmer is Arnie's destiny, sheer genius.
Ouroboros - Lister is the creator, sheer genius.
