What channels do you get on sky HD, what channels are rumoured to be coming soon. Don't have sport or movie channels.

Can you connect it to a normal tv as I wont be getting a HDTv for 3 or so weeks.

For those that have it, is it worth the £10.

I would say yes it is. You can indeed play it on a normal TV, it just looks like a very nice picture, but naturally not up to HD standards.

History HD and National Geographic HD are worth the price by themselves IMO

I wouldn't have it if it weren't for the sport, but the movie channels are nice to have as well.

I'm not sure about any "upcoming" HD channels though.

two replys two different opinions. This is why everyone should be identical clones.

I'm not getting sport or movies just all 6 normal mixes.

Sky+ + satandard box + broadband = £42month + £75
Sky+HD + Standard box + broadband = £52month + £75

Choices choices...

Sky Plus mate HD just isn't worth the extra tenner yet, not until there are more channels and they are all at 1080.

You will appreciate Sky+ more

I rarely use the Nat Geo and channels like that, but having sports, BBC HD and C4 HD is worth it for me.

Hell, it was worth it just to have Wimbledon in HD.

I have Sky HD and its well worth it. I love watching nat geo and the rest in HD. Somehow, my lass cant actually tell the difference between ***** quality and HD quality.

No swearing

I quite like it, well worth it on sports. But the F1 is meant to be coming to BBC next year so fingers crossed for some HD F1. :)

Get the SkyHD box, don't pay the sub. Without sports and movies, there's not much you can watch. BBC HD and Channel4 HD are free anyway. The HD box has more disc space and has a new EPG coming this autumn which the Sky+ boxes won't get. And you could add the £10 sub at any point you deem it worth it.

If you're waiting on 1080p broadcasts you're going to be waiting a very long time before you make the move to HD.

If you go for the HD box without the Sub you don't get it for £75 - it's £399

Can you send me an email in trust bud.

Well if you fancy the HD box very cheap and maybe the contract cheap aswell :)

Also got another two of these for new customers, and one for exisiting. Email in trust.

Cheers guys as I wont be and have no intention of getting movies or sports I'm going to stick to just the sky+ box. the extra £10 a month seems pointless at the moment.

Did you see my post, send me a email dude. Half price for the year, if you don't already have sky and £49 for the box :)
