Rockstar pack - 50% off - steam

I'm lucky to get 5kb/s atm trying to download San Andreas, so poor.

edit: actually it's entanet being rubbish , not steam.

Tempting (vice city), the copy off my mate seems to generate black screens and random freezes on my pc in vista x64 ( my xp is borked for gaming altogether, but when xp worked before it worked fine on it...), can anyone confirm if vice works perfectly on an nvidia card in vista X64 from steam? I've had totally different hw configs and 2 different vista installs and it failed on both ( pentium D 3.9 ghz, 2gb, 6800GS, vista x64, and 2 vista installs further on c2d 6400, 4gb and 8800GTS still the exact same bugs/problems... ) so it's either the game just not working or it's my install ( been launching it from the same folder always...). Google brings up other people with the black screen bug but nothing about random app freezes...

So, can anyone confirm:
Is the steam version stable in vista X64 with an nvidia card and a modern dual core intel cpu ?

EDIT: Uh wait a minute you can buy those separately at half price too, now that's better.

Actually, if you look at the break down here for the Rockstar bundle...

http://store.steampowered.com/sub/608/

...you'll see that it takes into account 50% off for each game and then takes a further discount off from the total. That means when bought together it works out as more than 50% off! :)

"Individual price $55.14" (with 50% off per title taken into account) <--- This is the total price you pay if you bought all games seperately (before VAT)

"Cost to you $34.99" (with 50% off per title AND a further total discount take in account) <---- This is the price you pay when bought as a bundle! (before VAT)

I'm sure some people could argue -> "Well, the bundle has games x y z, but I've already got y so I only need purchase x and z seperately!". However, compare the cost of purchasing those two seperately and the cost of all games bought in the bundle and you'll find it's very close, probably only a few $$ in it. You might as well just buy the bundle and "gift" the extra copy of the game(s) you already have to someone. Or you could sell the hardcopy of the game(s) you already have, either way you come out on top when you buy the bundle :)

The same can be said for GTA series only bundle here...

As for me, I'm going for the full Rockstar bundle and see how hard I can make the fan on my Aspire One scream :D

Why not set it up? Both paypal and click and buy support direct debit...
click and buy doesn't even need a ''confirmed account'' to buy from steam.

I was under the impression that paypal would take longer to set up... took me forever the last time i done that! (things have changed as i changed my bank account)

Is this click and buy much use... how long would that take to set up?!

Keep forgetting if you buy with paypal will you pay any sort of extra charge for currency conversion? I get that with my visa so wondering if it's better to pay by paypal.

I prefer it above paypal for steam.
Takes 10 mins to make an account.
About 4 days to confirm it, but I bought my first game with an unconfirmed account and it worked, so you can buy immediately.

hmmm nvm you seem to have bought it with a debit card, here I can't since no dutch debit cards are accepted with steam :p.
