Lets discuss about magic!

I really like Penn and Teller, find them incredibly entertaining - but they are not on British TV so much, which is a shame.

I remember watching them fire a bullet into eachothers mouths a few years back, and catch it in their teeth... was really tense stuff, and I'm pretty convinced it was real, judging by the ambulance crews on standby etc, and the general atmosphere.

It's a well known (and pretty dangerous) trick. A fair few magicians have died trying to perform it.

I saw an interview with them before and they said that they use real firearms but they came up with a way that made the trick 100% safe

Wait... you're actually telling me that they really do catch a real live bullet in their teeth? Wouldn't the force of it from such close range not only smash your teeth to shards, but allow the bullet to carry on unhindered through the back of your head?

I've actually just been watching quite a few magic videos lately..

Have to agree that Penn and Teller are incredibly entertaining..
Cyril Takayama's magic is great to watch too, a lot of his stuff i had not seen before

Chung Ling Soo is one of the most famous magicians who died from the bullet catch. Everyone thought he was Chinese, but when he died, they realised he was Amercian.

I think they just keep a bullet in their mouth, fire 2 blanks at each other, then pop the bullet they had in their mouth between their teeth.

Obviously not :)

But it would seem that others attempting to replicate the trick did use a live bullet.

i think david blaine is class even though he gets bad press these days. loved all his street magic stuff, especially the card tricks :)
