S.T.A.L.K.E.R Clear Sky - Gone Gold

What does the new patch fix and will it offer a performance boost. Mine seems to run ok with the odd hickup but I'm not sure it's worth starting over if the patch isn't going to offer anything major.
 
I'm about ready to give up on this, just as I was getting into it as well. :rolleyes:

Managed to get it running at a pretty decent rate and detail level. Had the odd crash here and there, but not too regularly.

But when I tried playing it today, it's started to CTD every 3 or 4 minutes. You daren't press the ESC key to try and save the game as it will just CTD.

So the only way to save progress is to gingerly press the quicksave key, but even that is a 50/50 chance, and it will CTD again.

Opening the PDA?. Nah, maybe once in every 3 goes, but mostly that will also cause it to CTD.

I have no idea why it's started doing this all of a sudden today, I sat and played it last night for a couple of hours and I think I had maybe 3 CTD's tops. But now it's every few minutes.

I'm on the latest patch, 1.5.04.

Anyone else here getting CTD's every couple of minutes for no apparent reason?. :(

Like peeps have said i'd wait until at least the next patch or you'll just get really ***** off with it like so many have!

i love the game but got so fed up with getting really far then having to start over cause it broke and old saves dont work on the new patches!
 
Anyone else get a travel bug after the Red Forest, I need to go to the Army Warehouses from Red Forest but whenever I travle to there I get a game error and I am booted :(

Also travelling to garbage gives me that error so basically I am stuck now :gutted:

Ok then mate no problems, thank's for looking !! :)

Might just try and find a cheat for it or something so I can skip to that level again :)

Sounds like a problem I had around Red Forest too, lots of CTD when changing zones.

By the way, could you please upload you're saved games around that point to a website such as megaupload please? Or send them to me on MSN? Unfortunately I formatted my computer the other day and lost all my saved games, and was just nearing the end of the Red Forest missions. :mad:

You'd be an absolute life saver if you could do that :D
 
just wondering if this is a bug.... I'm suppose to find an talk to Sakharov but the door to the compound is locked.



also what's the number at the bottom right of the radar suppose to represent?

The door should open automatically when you aproach it, it doesn't open if the compound is under attack. Clear some zombies from the area :)

The number under the radar is the number of people in the radars area (friendly or enemies!)

I loaded the auto save and this time the door opened.
 
Anyone heard word on the new patch yet?.

Last time I looked at the GSC forums they were touting the 29th of Sept for release date?.
 
Seems to be running fine max settings but no AA at 1650x1050 with my 8800gtx and q6600 at stock. fraps shows dips to sub 30fps but it always seems smooth.
