All PC Gamers are pirates and the PC is hard to program for...

Out of spite? :p

I guess :) Actually if it was a simultaneous release I would have gone for the PC version, but I was also a big UT fan back in the day. Now they've taken a big dump on the PC gamers who put them where they are, so I wont be buying any of their products regardless of format.

All that guff blaming high-end users, piracy and built-in gfx is carp. GoW on PC ran much better than the 360 version even on mid-range systems.

LOL, they gave you a warranty on some fimware :D

There is no 'chip' to warranty, the firmware on the drive is flashed. Some drive versions used to need a 'passkey' chip fitted in order to be flashed, but it's usually removed afterwards. You can flash these drives without a 'passkey' chip now though.

lol my bad...yeah it was on the firmware
bad habit that i keep referring to it as a chip:p

You lot are funny, he made no such claim.

He's merely commenting on the fact that piracy is more prevalent in high end games due to the market they are aimed at. It's undeniably true :p

Well stop it by making a fool proof pirate system unlink EA, like you need to register to play it.

Fair doooos you can still crack.... but make it so when the crack is released its difficult to implement it. They are there own worst enemies.

Why dont they just say.... we cant be bother making it because we make more money from the consoles......?

Why can't he just let it be published on Steam? Or is that cracked as well? I don't know about such things.

Either way, Gears is my favourite game on the Xbox. I would have sold it by now but for Gears 2 coming along. I want Cliff's babies.

Im not fussed about Gow2, but if it becomes a trend for developers to avoid the PC format its going to be a shame.

The pc has been my number one platform for many years. Hopefully they dont all jump ship

"The PC right now is a fair amount different to what it was back in the day, with all the badly integrated video chips,"

Didnt stop them 10 years ago when Unreal came out, which when released required a high-end system to enjoy it properly. I bet today a half-decent budget gfx card would happily run a GoW2 port. Excuses.

He is right though, the PC section is full of piracy talk, worst than the console section.

When you have spent £300 on a graphics card its easy to justify downloading a game for free.

Even if it did come to PC, which it probably will eventually anyway, I wouldn't welcome it. The PC release for Gears 1 was a buggy mess when it first came out and I doubt it's much better now. I have no reason to expect any different the second time around.

The buggy mess is not a credible reason as many PC titles * even PC exclusives are a buggy mess on release & far worse at times.
