Diet Advice

Sorry to go off topic but I have a quick diet question and I didn't want to start a new thread.

Basically, is it a bad idea to have eggs as part of your diet every day? I have scrambled eggs (3 eggs, whites and yolk) for lunch every day and have done for about a month now. Is this bad for me? I know they're not good for colesterol and all that but the rest of my diet is pretty good so wondered if that would balance it out?!!

Thanks.

Eggs are fine to have every day, although you re better off poaching them or cooking them in a way where the yolk stays whole.

Dare I ask what the difference would be by scrambling them? Nutrition wise (if thats the correct word to use) ?

Surely the yolk is there still, theoretically.

Most of the fat is in the yolk, if you break the yolk when cooking the fat is oxidised and therefore less healthy.

So you would take the yolk out then?

If you cook and eat the yolk without breaking it..well, obviously you'll break it when eating it...its more healthy?

Sorry, need to ask, never looked into it.

No, don't take it out it's perfectly healthy.

It's to do fat being oxidised if the yolk is broken whilst being cooked over heat. Therefore keeping the yolk intact whilst cooking is better, poaching for example.

Do whatever you wish when it's cooked and on your plate :)

Ah ok I get you :)

Never knew that, thanks for sharing.

Poached eggs it is then, although I have to learn how to do them first :p

**Edit** I'm sorry, but I just found this, and its rather amusing: http://www.b3ta.com/features/howtopoachanegg/
