its not the officers on the scene im annoyed at, its the police controllers who didnt divert enough man power to the situation.
You have no idea what other incidents were happening at the time so it is unfair to level that accusation.

If the guy was an ethnic im pretty sure the people shouting to jump would've been arrested on the spot then classed as racists. Do i have proof of this ? no , but i damn well feel it would be that way.

this is true, but two officers on the building and one doing crowd control and cordonning is urine poor by any standard. combine that with the fact that the cordon was too close and should have been set up so as to not let the public within range of the lad. from my understanding the public was twenty or so feet away, many using their mobiles to film his body after he had jumped.
Can you point me to where the number of Police Officers is documented I can not see it?
unfortunately not without re reading everything as i read near a dozen different news reports to try to get more info. youl notice the BBC makes no mention of him being gay either but this too was reported across a few of the articles.
i.e. never get your news from just one source and youl pottentially get a clearer picture.
don't see the problem tbh, as for racism, wtf you on. if someone shouting jump makes you jump off a building you have bigger issues. not very compassionate I agree as the guy is likely already messed up but the blame lies with the police if anyone. they should control the crowd.
Unless the suicide can be directly attributed to his sexuality why would the BBC report it?
I personally doubt very much that that only two Police Officers were involved.
Mr Creedon explained that there had not been enough police officers available to arrest those onlookers urging the teenager to jump.

two officers or twenty, not enough is not enough.
"Some onlookers even used phones to film the event."
******* disgusting. wish I hadnt opened the thread, seriously what is it with every **** now and whipping the phone out to film whatever is happening.
Police officer grabbing him would do absolutely no good.
They can't detain him and they can't stop him jumping off it the next day.
