Best one I have heard since that one in the US where the guy goes into a bank and pushes a note demanding money over the till. The robber makes his get away with nothing as the shutters come down. The police arrive and look at the note, to find out the muppet has written his bank demand on the back of an envelope addressed to himself. Police wait outside his house for the ploker to return.

I know it seems stupid, but it's what a security guard told me, that they can't restrain anyone until they leave the shop :confused:
