COD : WaW Beta

I think its on the front page. Nothing yet, they should have put it up this morning when there would have been less traffic. But hopefully most of the yanks will be asleep and not stealing our keys :P
 
I am heading out, and don't know what time these keys are being given away on Eurogamer. Could someone get me one with a spare EuroGamer account please?

Apparently the keys given away today only work in EU. Having said that, unless there is some IP checking there will be noting stopping USA members claiming keys, and then being unable to use them (hence, wasted keys :( ).

I bet the keys will be region free tbh and they just give statements like that to try stop the spammage. I'm going to try get 2 but I'm at work so I'll probably miss it or come back with the website totally dead.
 
At 9.45 GMT the Editor has stated - "THE GIVEAWAY HASN'T STARTED YET AND WON'T BE STARTING IN THE NEXT 6 HOURS."

From a thread on EG. Along with it will probably start 3:30pm+ and the codes work for US peeps :(
 
The aim and accuracy is what annoys me on Waw beta.

On this game it seems you just need the sight to be lined up with the person, you fire and they die as they are in the target. Everytime you get shot at you seem to die

COD4 is much better, you actually feel like you are firing bullets, Waw seems too arcade like. On COD4 you can be running getting shot at, but then find some cover and shoot back.

Its fun, but I think COD4 is still better.

If they released the new maps on COD4 with tanks etc then it would have been perfect.

Pretty much sums up my feelings.
 
Anyone else struggle to fire though plywood on makin? Seems you need deep impact on, or close to sweet FA gets through the tin or woodwork sachet charges under the walk ways on Makin has zero effect on people above aswell. Loving the gas grenades though.

Playing the beta seems to have helped my aim in 4 now im back with the weapon of joy that is the G3 :p

COD4 certainly seems to have got the 'shooting through surface' part of it more accurate, you could shoot through wood and thin metal on all COD4 maps but can't even shoot through the wood on WaW.
It's very strange and bloody annoying as people are laying down in the wooden walkways on Makin for cover! :confused:

I agree that at the moment COD4 just feels more real but I'll give WaW a proper chance when the full game is released.

I find the tank bloody annoying whilst at the same time its a lot of fun being in/on it. I was having a right laugh on the turret gun whilst Wiggis and Johnny were driving the tank last night :D
