Sack Boy Sack Boy I love you but we only have 12hrs 13 mins to save the Earth!!

(Ok not strictly true but my Beta ends 00:59 on the 13th October)
You can find out by selecting game Info. it will tell you how long you have left and when it ends :(

BTW Anyone who wants to play this game for FREE (unsure before buying, don't have a PS3 or just in the area) there is free Workshops for the game in Covent Garden that you can book for online now:

LittleBigPlanet - Covent Garden
October 24

FREE to attend and no need to book!

PlayStation® will be hosting a series of free creative workshops in the Thomas Neal’s Centreto celebrate the launch of LittleBigPlanet on the 24th October. The family-friendly workshops will also offer the first sneak previews of the year’s most talked about community-based videogame.

The pop-up space will be split into three areas inspired by the game for the ultimate LittleBigPlanet experience. The Play and Create sampling areas will give visitors the chance to be one of the first in the country to create levels in the game. Whilst in the LittleBigPlanet Creative Cupboard, the arts and crafts workshops will help to bring your game creations to life including the chance to watch a local artist work on a live LBP inspired illustrative piece.

There will also be special events and art exhibitions that will take place on site in addition to the above so keep revisiting www.LittleBigPlanet.com for more information.

You also can book times at the LittleBigPlanet workshop simply by popping into the store.

Eurogamer have their review up

Eurogamer

9/10 is pretty good, about what I would give it from the beta although I didn't really experiment with the creation tools,

I also heard that the beta had 90% of the materials that would be in the final game (from a not so trustworthy friend) Is that true?

They have said that the beta contains only a fraction of the materials available in the full game. The Blu-ray is full iirc!

You friend is not a trustworthy source lol, the first 2 levels of the game give you twice the stuff in the beta, in fact think the beta is less than 10% of the create stuff in the full game. The beta is only 900MB the full game is on a dual layer BD suposed to be in the region of 40GBs.

As for the EG review, well that was a surprise, i thought they'd give it an 8 TBH, it was done by the bloke who reviewed MGS4 and gave it an 8 so if he says its better than MGS4 then im happy ( tongue in cheek mode).
Dont agree with the comments about the creation part one bit, its easy to make stuff, easy to use but the hard part is getting it all right. My nephews made a cart race level in an hour or so very simple but they had great fun creating it and even more fun playing it. The checkpoint/lives thing seemed a silly arguement, has he never played a platformer before? Does he want a quick save option before a jump or something lol. Apart from that i thought it was a good review, shame it wasnt the final retail version and just review code as I wanted to know more about the new stuff put in from the Beta. The comments on the review are whats wrong with this gen of consoles, people moaning about it not getting a 10, others calling it a flop as its not a 10 and huge amounts of trolling and name calling, im glad this forum is pretty much civil.

The comments on EG are nuts, i have kept my pre order i enjoyed the beta tho still having problems with voip and both of us are using usb headsets.

Heh I was just kidding :p but I have cancelled my pre-order for this for other reasons.

Yea i knew you were, but tbh, i don't think anything (games, movie, books, etc) deserve to get a 10/10 score, it's like saying the thing is perfect, and nothing is perfect, it's also like saying they couldn't have done anything better.

And we all know GTA could have been better (framerate for example)

did not read the review, but I pre-ordered this on the back of the beta. I did not like the create side of things at all and found it tiring and laboured but thats just me but the game will be great without even going into that and im sure there will be plenty of great stuff created that i can play once done with the single player side of the game
