How do you kill that which has no life?

Do any of you guys know him? How do you know he ain't happily married with kids and this is spare-time project? Much like some of you people who spend thousands on a piece of metal with 4-wheels to get from A to B when really you could do the same for a fraction of the cost. So what if the guy wants to spend his money on something he likes? It's his life and as far as I'm concerned he can do whatever the hell he wants with it!

WOW..

What a nerd. :(

...and yet here you are posting on the "PC Gaming" section of an internet forum dedicated to overclocking PCs and their hardware! Do you see the irony in that?

Oddly enough all these people saying its sad and yet all i could think of is what you said Az. I dont get it a lot of people on here (not all) but a lot, spend loads of money on cars, PCs, music setups, home cinema systems etc etc..

Yet one guy makes a rather crazy PC setup to play WoW and all of a sudden its pitchforks out ! maybe its a jealously factor ?

Whats funny about all this is my post and most likely Az's will be ignored and people will continue a flamefest on him

that kinda money could go nicely on jetsetting around, even seeing the south pole in an arctic survey!, stuff that you could tell your grandchildren about, sights that totally pee allover azeroth!

I don't think he'll ever be having grandchildren somehow :p

Even if I had the inclination, I'd never, ever have the time to do that with two kids. I think you're being too generous to the guy, even taken as a hobby, doesn't seem very healthy to me.

Its obvious the bloke is happy doing it, otherwise he wouldnt do it. I understand that.

But even on a forum dedicated to Games/Hardware/Music/Cinema etc... the setup / lifestyle required for this guy to multibox to this extreme extent... is a bit naff!

Ahh, the geek hirachy strikes again!!

"It's ok for me to spend £1000 plus on a games pc when I could get a 360 for £129 but that guy is a REAL nerd!!"

I also made this point earlier on in the thread. I also made the same point in a WOW thread that someone started to bash (not the offical WOTLK one).

It seems to if someone doesn't enjoy it, or agree with it, then its ok to flame it. That is what bugs me, saying its not your thing - fine, fair enough. This multiboxing isn't my thing, I don't have any interest. I don't care though, it doesn't affect me, so let the guy have his fun - amazing how people actually *care* what someone else, living 1000's of miles away from them more than likely, is doing, commenting if he is married, has a life, and is wasting his money from a few random pictures in his home.

The guy could be a porn star for all you know :/

I remember when there was a Pete Doherty thread and you slagged him off and said he was scum etc. But do you "know him?". :P

Bit hypocritical to say "So what if the guy wants to spend his money on something he likes" "Its his life and as far as im concerned he can do whatever the hell he wants with it!"

I dont understand why a load of people in this thread are stating that he must have made a huge time commitment to this set up/playing it. There is no reason he spends any more time playing WoW than your average player, he just prefers the multiboxing aspect of the game and has a fair bit of disposable income.

Some people play a game solely to multi box it, doesn't mean they spend any more time on it. In fact, I'd be willing to bet that this guy takes WoW a lot less seriously than the people raiding 6 days a week for 3+ hours.

i like to judge others cause i am insecure and feel unworthy myself, i am sadder then the guy with the 50 accounts, when i judge him it eleviates some of the despair for the life i have and how i feel about things.

thats definately the case with me!

I think its pretty cool from a technical perspective, if it wasnt wow and he had each machine breaking the 3d mark world record people in here would be having a nerdgasm.

I reckon he must have an aversion to sunlight. I mean really how could anyone contemplate spending that much on wow let alone the TIME he must spend on it. I feel sick thinking about it.

You don't know he doesn't get sun light :p he might have an elusive sky light on that there ceiling of his! Basking in the suns might whilst pwning all those noobians.
