mm just rechecked and it was 1h 15 mins so i guess it was all 3 together
Passed the afternoon anyway:D
yeah all 3, the ones I saw were 26 mins or so long, so ignoring the intro/ending's would turn about around the 25min mark each making 1.15 hours.

Well ... have had a good Anime weekend.

- Watched the rest of Aria, lovely series and I can't wait for the next series to come out. Nice and gentle with no great plot but relaxing to watch.
- Kanon ... :D:D:D ... marathoned through the whole series whilst rebuilding my server on Saturday. One of the best series of its genre with many good plot arcs and lots of weepy moments. Extremely good and highly recommended, although if you haven't got it at the moment then wait for the Funimation half- or full-series boxset(s) which are sure to come out next year sometime.
- Haibane Renmei ... watched this series today. Previously I had seen the first disk in a sampler pack and wasn't sure how I felt about it but I picked up the R2 boxset a few months ago and finally got around to watching it. Thought it was quite good although it seemed to leave to many unanswered questions. Again not heavy on the action but a nice plot never the less.

Currently watching Death Note. Got through half the series in 2 nights. :p

Man, this is so good. I'm up to episode 23. Unfortunately I already spoiled it for myself a while ago when I accidentally read what happened in episode 25. It's a shame that the series goes downhill after that. :(

Haibane Renmei
was made out of a Doujinshi apparently so short story material or writers first attempt(can`t remember the author/mangaka name though

Ok, just been reading the new Media Blaster solicitations on AoDVD ... I see they are starting to release Ah My Buddha (aka Amaenaideyo) in January ... well I was hoping for Genshiken 2 but I'll settle for this as I am familiar with this and it's second series and it's rather nice. I have several CD's related to it to which are good. I recognise the graphic for the series they give it straight away as I had been considering getting the R2(J) release as I didn't think it would be licensed.

I'm not familiar with the other title listed, Doujin Work, but it seems a bit like Comic Party so I may well consider picking it up as I enjoyed that.

For people who like to get stuff on R2 it looks like Manga Entertainment will be distributing some of the new Funimation series' in the UK too.

Enjoying rewatching Kamichu at the moment.

edit: Andarial: Wikipedia says the original doujinshi was called The Halibanes of Old Home.

The Haibanes of Old Home
Grammar and spelling Nazi mode off now:D

Just finished watching black lagoon (1 and 2), I liked it, the dark humour is pretty good and makes a refreshing change from some of the anime I've seen recently.

Hopefully a 3rd series won't be too long as I'm kind of feeling like the end to the 2nd series was a bit too open ended, mind you the second series was done differently to the first with more arcs than just plain shooting style of the first.

Got to love the main characters though and strangely I would love to see a live action version of this series.

Black Lagoon is fun, although some parts (from what i've seen) have a darker undertone, i'm looking forward to the second disk of season two at the moment.

I had my latest package arrive from the States this morning, about 40 hours of classic mecha goodness, and some maid action:p
It looks like the Macross complete set is the same disks as the individual releases, in a brick (so most/all of the same extra's), and the artwork on the Macross set, and Southern Cross/Mospaeda is really nice, in an "old school" way (IIRC the same character designer worked on all 3).

I thought the darker undertone was the hole point of black lagoon :)

I thought that the second/third series (well non sentinals anyways) was a rebranded/adapted southern cross/mospaeda. Well they look the same when I've watched one out of curiosity.

Finished rewatching Kamichu lastnight, and caught up on Karin vol #4 :)
Had a little rewatch of Please Teacher this evening although I'm expecting Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-Chan possibly tomorrow.

Pre-ordered Welcome to the NHK vol #6 from TRSI, (and had to explain to their customer services that I am not jumping through their security hoops again as I have already done it as I have ordered from them before ... they got the idea in the end). I see that TRSI/Nozomi have announced a release date for the first half of the second series of Aria of January :)

I'm rebuilding my server again this Saturday so it's marathon time again ... I'm thinking Negima this time as I've only got around to watching the first couple of disks before even though I have the whole series and the new Spring/Summer specials release.

Just realised today that it has been nearly a year since i got a `Full Moon Wo Sagashite` disc.It seems they only released 7 dvds.Cant find any info on weather the series was canned or just damn slow, anyone help me in finding out either way please?Have looked at the viz site and can`t see any info there :(

lsg1r, i've got the new sets that are the unedited versions ;) rather than the Robotech versions.
I had the older Animeago sub only sets for Macross, but couldn't miss the chance to get the new release (IIRC it's the same remastered video) with it's dub, and all the chance of all the extras.

IIRC even Macross was edited to make the first arc of Robotech (but it was much less heavily edited apart from names than the other two series).

Anderial, i've got a feeling Sagashite is on hold at the moment although i'm not sure as it's not one i've paid much attention to, but it does look like it hasn't had any new disks released for about a year or even scheduled.

I've maid a start on Hanauko Maid team, which is leading to a lot of chuckles, and the loss of a lot of blood:p
It looks like it's going to be a fun, fluffy, slightly ecchi watch.

Not a series I have been following but I can't see anything scheduled for it through end of Feb '09 ... Viz don't seem very good at letting people know what they are doing with series, (e.g. Honey and Clover)

Yep, sounds about right, a very nice series ;)

Ok, over the weekend I've been watching the first season of Negima plus the Negima!? OVA release from Funimation. Now I've had the R2 Negima disks for quite a while, (since they came out in fact), and I'd never got around to watching more than the first few disks as I found it was pushed aside by another series. But as I am clearing my back log at the moment and needed something I could watch of a non-action genre this series came up this weekend.

Now I like Ken Akamatsu's work ... Love Hina is one of my all time favourite series and despite it not really having a audience I like the My Santa OVA. I have also read some of his non-Anime manga, e.g. AI Love You. Negima, well at first I thought that it was just a silly school comedy with the predictable plot lines to do with having a young boy teaching a class of girls .... but whilst some of the series is that there are also plent of other good things going on there and the finally plot arc is very very good.

The Spring/Summer OVA .... well it's silly fun with more fan service than the original series. The VA commentry on the Summer episode is included on the disk and is rather amusing too, (claiming that panty shots are advertising from the cotton panty manafacturers for example).

Generally good fun.

IIRC Apparently Manga have announced they've got the UK distribution rights for the second season of Negima (rather than Revelation getting them).

I need to pick up the OVA as I bought the UK complete collection.

I've been watching more Hanauko Maid Team, which is still making me laugh - the comicon episode had me giggling at various points.
