Although I'm not ginger i see this as the same thing as racism tbh, black skin, ginger hair. It's a color you're taking the **** out of at the end of the day. I amazed that in our time no one has made a big thing about it.

That's because ginger people have a sense of humor, oops i said it.

I've never met a ginger who is upset about it. So much for hot-headed-ness?

I don't think people with red hair want to be 'used to' the routine abuse they receive in the streets, from passing motorists and yes, on so-called 'family forums'.

I sometimes find that judgement to be "mind your own business". I mean, yeah if my red hair friend thinks being called ginger is an insult rather than a nickname, the guys will stop instantly and respect that. I honestly find people who decide for others what is right or wrong based on their judgement of what's acceptable is arrogant.

Am I making too much of a judgement of you like you've done on people who took the word ginger as part of a humour rather than insult?

What are you talking about?

How is it arrogant to call out prejudice and bigotry on the basis arbitrary concepts such as appearance? That is a moronic argument.

If 'ginger taunting' was simple the case of banter between friends, I doubt there would be a problem. But let's be realistic here...
 
Bloody hell going down the list of symptoms on the BDD wiki page it sounds just like me at age 16-19, and even still a few of them apply.

And I am ginger, but that's not the problem, it was the severe acne that decided to ravage me during the later years of high school, and since then the way I've reacted to it has ruined my life.
