DualShock3 - Worth It?

I'm doing this after reading you're post.

I was already tempted to just keep the lovefilm subscription going but when I thought about it the two discs at a time plus games subscription is £15 per month - that's £180 a year!!!

I only buy around 4 or 5 console games a year and take ages playing through them so I'm as well just buying them. I'm not really interested in renting crappy games just to get some use out of the subscription.

The site has no DS3's left at the moment but it takes up to 30 days to get the e-voucher anyway.

Just got my evoucher for £20 tonight and in just under 10 days.

Means I can preorder LBP for £15 - yay!

By the way, I went and bought a DS3 and must say I don't think the difference is nearly anything like people are making out but it's actually quite nice just to have the rumble back. Saying that I'll probably sell my 2 Sixaxis controllers and buy another DS3.

Never used a sixaxis, so I can't comment.

But, I'd completely forgot that they come in white :o

Must... resist! :D I've already spent far too much this month ;)

They cost a lot more then id like, but can be found for around £30 easily enough. Broke mine playing Wipeout , so had to break my old sixaxis pad to repair it(swap parts). The springs in the l2/r2 buttons are as cheap as they can get and constant use of airbrakes/sidekick killed one of them.

Trying to source a couple fo realy cheap faulty ps3 pads, to nab the springs ....just in case ;)

Was speaking to my mate about selling my Sixaxis pads and he said once they've linked to a conosole you can't use them on another one as he couldn't get his mate's pads to work on his PS3. Surely this can't be right?

I'd have thought you'd just have to turn the PS3 on and press the PS button and you're good to go.

No as Psypher5 says you need to connect them with a usb cable to sync them up, otherwise people could lurk in the bushes outside your house and interfere with your PS3 while it was on.

That must be why I'm so bad at CoD4 online. I thought for a minute there I was just rubbish.:)

that would just cause mayhem in student flats where there's like 5 PS3s in a block and the walls are paper thin.

DS3 is well worth it, I've got one white, one black and 2 sixaxis :)

Gah! Looks like I missed this deal. they don't list official controllers anymore :(

I can't find any decent non auction site prices anywhere. Oh well PS3 stays unused for another while.
