FARCRY 2 --- Officially , official of official threads! ---

All playing very smooth for me in dx10 @ 1920 x 1200 with all settings on very high exept for post and ambient. I am really enjoying it so far although i think its going to get quite repetative.
 
Too much driving in this game its doing my nut in! None of the jobs seem to be close by :mad: Every time, drive 20 minutes dodging the irritating AI vehicles.

And does anyone get the enemies who shoot you while facing the wrong way or aiming their guns at the sky? Whats that all about :confused:

Runs very well at 1920x1200 with everything up to its highest apart from AA at x2

Just not that impressed by it so far.... saying that it really makes me want to go back to Rwanda and drive round the Akagara game park doing mental power slides at silly speeds :p

I'll keep playing it, see if it picks up, but I much prefer Clear Sky!
 
Snowdog. Put your CPU back to the OC.

I've got a Q6600 3.6, 4GB Ram, and 8800GTS 512. All on Very High with 4x AA, averaging around 40-50 fps.

Changing keys is a major bug. Dont show up on help pointers at the start if you change your keys from default. Ive also noticed that if you change your use button away from "e" then u cant exit static guns once taking control of them unless you press "e" again instead of your new use button. Its like "+use" gets changed but "-use" doesnt!

Well mine seems to be average between 30-60, sometimes it drops to around 20, but not for long and mostly inside. Can you not put your resolution any higher?

Im using AMD Fusion on the Expert profile. Might help you ;)

So far i'll have to say i prefer the original Far Cry to this. The first game was much more in your face, where as the 2nd one looks nice, but im finding the gameplay to be rather annoying.

So you want me to go here, hmm so that means i have to go through this junction... AGAIN!, which will mean another firefight with people i killed about 10 minutes ago ...... and who are all now alive again!

Hmm i regonise this straight bit of road, and at this point here a truck will appear EVERY TIME and will pretty much try to drive over my vehicle. I can see a lot of time was put in to the AI in this game :rolleyes:
 
I really dunno about this game, id love to know what genius thought up the respawning camps idea..just seems retarded you can decimate one of these outposts and a couple of minutes later everythings back untouched. The ai is also pretty suspect, i was sniping at a guy who was basically walking along, i fire and miss he basically just ducks his head and saunters on past like nothings happened. :confused:

Far too much driving as well, its take out camp drive along take out another camp drive along take out enemy vehicle. The game has some nice little touches but this driving gets tedious, the enemy respawning gets tedious as well.
