What I don't like in my particular area is that 10 years ago, everyone up my street knew each other and would help each other regardless. Now, there's such a churn - mostly due to to BTL landlords. No one talks to each other![]()
Talking from experience. 8 years in South Africa, 5 Years in America, 6 Years and counting in UK.
- Pubs: More the family orientated ones.
- Heritage/History: Castles, Building that are over 1000 years old. (Don't get that in USA or RSA)
- America was very patriotic. Flags on houses, flags on cars, monuments etc. All good things but i think America is a bit OTT when it comes to that sorta stuff. They are also all brainwashed...if the Terrorism level rises to yellow or orange everyone goes mad and rushes off to buy milk and food for weeks. They are very much under the thumb of the media/GWB. So I like the fact that the UK just does its own thing, everyone has thier own life and doesn't worry about what is going on.
- Cars. You English people have some funny little cars that you don't get in USA or RSA. Also very different brands...when i first came here i was like "wtf is a Renault, Peugeot, Smart car?" etc.
- All the accents...Cockney, Northern etc.
And just to add...the worst thing about this country. The lack of sunshine.
I love how terrorists end up in British government.
Got any proof to back up this completely ridiculous statement?

What i dont like is Chav's, binge drinking and the emphasis on multi-culturism, i dont mind other culture's living here i just hate it when it's shoved down our throat.
