***Official Wrath of the Lich King Thread***(Contains spoilers)***

this is what annoys the hell out of me in warcraft.
if you dont conform to whatever fotm people <think> is 'best' youre nagged and told youre a noob.

the times ive sacrificed a pet as a warlock, for more damage.. then some weekend warlock has smugly asked 'whats up did you forget you can summon pets'

it really does make me wish people would just mind their own business.

on the plus side, the more i play it, the more i go off it, so i reckon in 3 months time I'll be cured.

/rant off

Well, now the sacrifice build isn't top of the damage meters - previously yes, the 0/21/40 was the highest. Now fire builds do far more (which requires the imp out) and Affliction also does more (but requires haunt) and that does tons of damage.

There are a lot of people though that know nothing of the game. The amount of people that I have seen with strength gear on their mage, or warriors wearing spell damage stuff / whatever random things is insane. I remember a Warlock from back in the day had HEALING gear. (before the spell power changes).

I did like last night though, where I enchanted a Warlock bracer for healing, because it gives the same spell power as the spell damage one of old :p

Yea ive got 3 days of my sub left, and after checking what i need to become a tank and how scarse a decent warrior shield is, its just getting stupid, that if i dont i cant effectivly play, i dont think ill be re-subbing, as at the moment the only things i can do, are PVP, which is run in, swing sword twice, die, revive, rinse a repeat...i cant get into any groups for dungeons or instances at all..so thats basically the end of the game.

Why not become the new ...

?

that is quite impressive..but id imagine the gear has a lot to do with that, but none the less, maybe im just not paying enough attention to the details...christ i dont know, but its getting on my wick.

It is probably down to the time spent on your char tbh. Cant expect to go around owning everything up and having mondo gear after only a couple of weeks. Also, take those vids with a pinch of salt, everyone can fraps their entire wow sessions and cut out the sweet bits.

Yea I could just as easily make a video of 3x1700 mindflay crits over and over and over and proclaim to be the best priest in the world. The videos' scenes are extremely selective for a reason.

ok ok, this type of advice/discussion i like, it makes me think about things in a different light. To be fair ill post my char's armoury link and i would love to see what you think..or what i can improve on...i do realise some of the armour is pants, but getting honor to get better stuff is annoying to say the least http://armory.wow-europe.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Blade's+Edge&n=Viluxia

You need to craft http://thottbot.com/i28434. After that work on you spec, this would be better:

http://www.wowhead.com/?talent

After that just have a go at some pvp, maby team up with a druid and do some arena.

Are you in a guild?

What level are you? I wouldn't be going into BG's unless I was level x6+ and above otherwise you're gonna be ganked for your hk and you won't stand a chance.

That's what I missed going from 59 to 60, there's no way I'm going back in the BG's until 67.

I sorta know how you feel Knightstalker. Whilst I'm enjoying levelling my Druid I can tell you that I'm not guilded (I'd like to be - I like the chat etc) and given the time I play (9-11.30) this doesn't fall into people raiding times. In 64 levels played I haven't been in a single instance.

I'm lucky in that I'm likely to pester my mage m8 to maybe do some PVP to get some better gear - afaik even if we are cannon fodder we still get some badges?

But I sit here thinking that WOLK quest items will no doubt make some of the lvl 70 items look poor (just as outlands has for pre tbc items).

This zombie event is seriously cheesing me off!! It was fun at first but now it's just annoying. I hearthed into Booty Bay and within 2 secs I was a zombie, the place is crawling with em and you can't turn in quests etc. Everywhere is the same, how long is this stupid event for?

I quite like it but have annoyed a few guildies with my zombie antics, if you have fun with it you really are treading a fine line with it. I do wish people would lighten up, everything you do will be rendered useless in two weeks anyway! So start pegging it or I will infect you.

:p

The event in some form or another will last till wotlk is released, I would imagine. It's building up to a big storyline that runs through part of wotlk.

Agreed. Infecting the Horde battlemasters in Shatty on Saturday was most amusing.

I was in SW yesterday and the amount of people moaning because they couldn't list on the auction house was stupid.

For all the Zombie haters

We'd like to thank players for participating so zealously (and valiantly!) during the Great Zombie Plague of '08. Our intention with this event was to create something memorable and to literally change the face of Azeroth for a few days. This event is just one of many leading up to Wrath of the Lich King. As you know, the Scourge Invasion is now live as well and there is some other cool stuff coming up before all is said and done. Also, Hallow's End continues on!

While we recognize that the event could prove to be disruptive at times, we hope you made the most out of it while it lasted. Part of playing in a "living and breathing world" means that things are going to change from time to time. We meant no harm but only wanted to create a lasting impression on players as they head to Northrend to defeat the Lich King. The Lich King's goals (as you will soon learn) are to turn the Horde and Alliance not only on one another, but on their own kind as well. I think the plague truly demonstrated this firsthand.

So it looks like a cure has finally been found… for now.

Thank you for participating in our most memorable event to date… for better or for…. brrrrrrraaaaaains…

Couple of other important notes:

* The scourge invasion will continue for a few more days.
* The prologue event is not over! More to come!!
* The Karazhan boss will be up for approximately another week still
* We increased the respawn rate of the Necropoli
* Zombie cure should kick in by around noon PST
