***Official Wrath of the Lich King Thread***(Contains spoilers)***

Never played a warrior but i do play a druid off tank, not very well :p

Basically i just got to the druid defense cap which was 415 iirc, i think its 490 for warriors, then started stacking armor and agility for avoidance i imagine warriors have other stats to worry about like shield block values and such but im not sure.

Just to let you know that druids don't need any extra defense they changed our talent so its 6% up from 3% crit immune, which means we need to stack dodge/agi and stamina.

Personally as I'm trying to level to 70 the zombie stuff is annoying - particularly when you come in and there are stacks near the flightmasters.

I do like the candy & xp bonus for visiting inn's andl also the bobbing apples.

My m8 has been doing the invasion stuff and said it's not bad either.

Its majorly annoying if you are trying to get anything done on your characters before wotlk. Sunwell questgivers in Shatt keep getting zombiefied, and the Profession trainers in SW (Im trying toget LW to 350).

Another thing I hate is that you take durability damage if guards in major cities kill you while you are a ghoul.

It must be even more annoying for people who are actually trying to level up.

I've managed to avoid not being infected yet, it's fun kiting the mobs.

Zangamarsh atm is gank central, there's a rep grind that's attracting the 70's and it's pretty much impossible to actually do any questing and avoid it. I grouped with someone last night to od a few quests and they were more concerned with going afte the gankers, which wasn't what I wanted to do so I went it alone. Who needs others for group quets anyway :p

Any idea on this rep grind? I need 4k for CE rep, or is this more of the Argent rep? as i'm preTBC exalted with them 8-)

I can't for the life of me remember which one it is.

I'll ask the 70's who were doing it what it was for later on when I'm home.

I'm hoping I can get to 70 before release day. I've got 4.5 levels to go. At least if I do then I can get in on the instances with the existing L70's and not fall behind like I have done at the moment. It's hard to keep up with people who have a lot of time off and play it constantly when you have a job.

If you are 4.5 levels out I wouldnt worry about that - if anything it will be a bonus because you wil miss the incredibly annoying few days in the early zones of Northrend where there will be ganking galore and 50 people fighting over 3 quest mobs.

People will be doing the instances for a good few months, there are plenty of people out there who play and have jobs like you and myself =)

I'd do as many quests as you can in outlands. I'm gunna try to hit 72 in outlands. Then go over to northend, i'll find leveling easier and people won't be able to gank me as easily.

btw, after 3.0 patch, with a feral druid you get 6% melee crit avoidance from SotF so def is not needed to get crit immunity from 73 bosses anymore (no clue if this holds with 83 bosses).

edit: ok ignore me, was posted above /slaps head

Really hope druids do need to get crit free again.

Warriors have lost 20 defence from talents. So have had to make up for that in kit. Removing druids need to be crit free from defence. Thats a joke..

its 6% not a rating so druids will never need to get extra defense/resi. none of our gear has defense on it so this is why blizz have changed our talents

You can't really compare what one class has to another (at least according to blizzard).

You could argue that a druid doesn't have Shield Block (actually doesn't have a shield to help with damage reduction at all).

Then the warrior will yet that they have higher armor, then the paladin will LOL because he has shield block, then the Druid and warrior will ask how their last stand is. It continues from there basically.

Same as, i'll probably buy it at the end of the month - try to avoid the first few frantic weeks.

thats not a bad idea really as i have most of SMV to do and i haven't even touched the quests in netherstorm.

i'm holding off buying wotlk for a week or so anyway, if TBC was anything to go by you'll struggle to do anything the first couple of days anyway.

you will not get into any groups as an Arms warrior, you get kicked or told to f off because your not tank...so thats out.

No point going prot.

Getting to a level to tank KZ = crit immune will take you 2/3 weeks.

so just stay arms, have some fun learn your charactor.

this is what annoys the hell out of me in warcraft.
if you dont conform to whatever fotm people <think> is 'best' youre nagged and told youre a noob.

the times ive sacrificed a pet as a warlock, for more damage.. then some weekend warlock has smugly asked 'whats up did you forget you can summon pets'

it really does make me wish people would just mind their own business.

on the plus side, the more i play it, the more i go off it, so i reckon in 3 months time I'll be cured.

/rant off

I agree. It is for this very simple reason that I just laugh in the face of the idiots that post or /2 the following... "what is the best talent spec for <insert class here>"
