correct way to deal with this? mp3 on bus?

Well,

If you had a pair of wire snips and a bit of old bell wire you could have done a few practice cuts in front of him while looking at his wires in an appraising kind of way.

You could have attempted to get his attention, then asked him if he realised he was permanently and cumulatively damaging his hearing by feeding that much sound energy directly into his ear canal. (TRUE)

You could have politely told him to turn it down a bit, then when he tells you to "********", punch his ignorant lights out :)

No swearing
 
An even more irratating thing is when someone sits on the bus texting and has the key tone enabled on there phone, especially with older phones which have a really loud key tone!

Sometimes people amaze me with how selfish they can be. or maybe its me in a morning not being a morning person.

And they want me to catch the bus more lol! no thanks.

Did you wash your hands after getting off the bus and to your location? if not then...poo fingers!

Don't do anything. Get your-self wound up about it and then later in the day, ask some random people on the Internet for advice on what you should have done.... :rolleyes:

Personally, I'd have tapped him on the shoulder and said in a very sarcasdic way "Killer tune that, mind turning it up so my Mrs can hear it at our house??"

No offense, but your attitude towards him is worse...
You should have just asked politely to turn it down a bit; shouldn't of been a problem.
