The people who have pre-ordered the game, and who have pre-orders on steam I think in general, get the game nowish / today sometime....

If you have not brought the game....as in, not purchased / pre-ordered or anything...You will get a chance to play the demo, before the game is released...

And you won't have to spend a penny my good man.

Just wait until next week and you'll get the demo without having to pre-order the game. This is just an 'added bonus' for those of us that stumped up the cash early.

Let me make this really simple for you.

The FREE demo for Left4Dead will be available on the 11th this month. It won't cost you a penny. You can play the game for free before buying it. If you don't like the game, you wouldn’t have lost any money, because the demo is free. Don't buy the full version if you don't like the demo, as that will NOT be free.

Demo free. Free Demo. This month. The 11th. Enjoy

Ive had to downgrade to a 8800GTX OCX card so im hoping i still can play this game how it should be. 1600x1200 with everything on max should still be possible on a 8800GTX card.

Xbox 360 hardware can run this game maxed out and I really doubt there is much difference between the pc and 360 versions(graphically).

You can only install the demo if you have pre-ordered.

Seems quite backwards and strange to me. Give early access to a demo (something designed to make you want to buy the game) to those who have already paid for the game... And then restrict those people who are waiting for a demo before commiting to buy to only a week of demo...

But then again they did the same for TF2... Its just a strange way of doing it.

its just to get ppl to pre order who already havent(get every last drop of money they can), like im wondering wether to pre order now, its kinda like what the first crysis did,cant remember exactly what they did but it was something similar, sumet to do wwith gamespy and multiplayer i think. just about getting more cash.

hmmm can i pre order down load the demo play it then cancel my pre order?
