True - had a game going yesterday where I was crouched down in front with a shotgun and the other three were behind me with Uzis. Made for quite an effective attack.
If that sounds dodgy, I was playing as Zoey.

i like the sniper rifle in a decent team you have time to take shots, m4 is also a blast.

Actually i would say my stats would say i use the dual pistols most :)
 
Duallies *** tbh. Get that second pistol early and you will have no problem slaying zombies. Infinite ammo on the pistols makes it a good first choice weap.

It means that if you are in trouble or **** hits the fan then you can unload your 2 clips and then whip out primary weapon. Expert/Advanced mode is also very well done, more stress on the teamwork for the hardest setting. Playing with noobs in the latter is NOT an option :D

I don't see why people having such big issues with playing/joining servers as friends. It's all worked for me so far, only problem is sometimes randoms sneak on so a spot gets filled.

If you had your own server hosted or an empty one to join then it wouldn't be so bad.

Basically since caving in and pre-ordering on Friday this demo is all I've played this weekend except a little TF2. (I have Fallout3 and Farcry to play too still).
 
I really wanted to love the shotties, I'm a shotgun kinda guy, but the uzi just dominates. If you do what you can to get head shots it rarely runs out of ammo before you reach an ammo supply. Sniper and M4 are also a lot of fun.

Apart from day 1, I haven't had any issues with matchmaking and joining OcUKers through steam, but I'm still happy to have a server browser tucked away. What bothers me is that there is no incentive for people to rent servers, something needs to be done about that.

As for the OcUK L4D group, I've joined but don't really see the point. Just use the OcUK group, there are way more members in there.
 
Anybody else notice the vsync enabled - Tripple Buffering option in the game? , that's sweet i think all games should have that option!

Shotgun is good. If other people in my group are using the uzi I will usually take the shotgun. Its very fun to melee a zombie and just blast him :).

^^ hehe, moments like that really make the game fun, having hordes of zombies batter down walls or doors to get at you whilst all you can see is green haze and the cieling ;)
 
i dont suppose anyone has a spare left 4 dead demo key for pc and if you could pm me. seems that my pay hasnt gone in yet so no pre ordering for me :( i know theres a thread giving away the orange box. So pretty please :)

The only way some ones going to have a spare key, is if a:0 they either haven't used they're own key yet...Or b:) They have two copies on pre-order :p
