*** Far Cry 2 1680 x 1050 max settings Top List ***

Needs the settings header.

Done. Having trouble with rivatuner 2.11 & AMD Clock tool. AMD tool keeps saying setClock failed and rivatuner will test a clock higher than 790 but when you apply, it resets it back to default.

Not back though for 790 | 1100 me thinks.

Far Cry just fails :(

I'm half tempted to sell my 8500 now and put in that 6320 you have (when I get it back) :P

Dont waiste your time .

I replaced an 8500 with a 9550 and clocked it to 4.2 and lost 2 frames .

Farcry isnt worth swapping out hardware for .

I meant in general, that 6320 gurusan was using is my old one from before my upgrade to 8500. Applications are simply too useless atm to make use of all the extra power offered by the chips by these chips, even when they can possibly use it they dont due to lack of proper multi-threading support, inefficiency in code, and so on.
I don't see the point in keeping a £120 CPU over what is now a £30 CPU, if the performance gain is so minimal in the current application generations.
True something round the corner will come that will need more power, but by then I'll be onto i7/Westmere or onto whatever AMD bring out.
It's like .. I'd love to go Quad right now, but as you said, you get no gains really .. as nothing supports it properly, and I have yet to see any plans for anything that will.
