Got an E46? Did you know that...

is this how you get into switching the thing off that limits the revs when the rear wheels are moving and the front wheels are not? ie on a rolling road.

I owned you, quite clearly. What did you get? 220something?
It was.. 228 I think? I've found the thread but the PDF links are dead!

I also think I might have a bit of a leak somewhere... I can hear whistles :|

Edit: And the DSC still isn't working, and I'm not dead. I'm actually quite surprised.
Edit2: I just checked and it's been off since 26 July. Do I get a medal for 3 months without DSC?

sorry to bring this thread back to life, but regarding the speed readout in the Leon A/C

i didn't realise the speedo over-reads by quite so much. at 50mph and over it's out by 5 mph. although how can i believe what the A/C is showing now.. :p

however, this has 2 consequences
positive - i can now drive faster without fear of a (bigger) fine
negative - when i'm stuck behind people driving at an obscenely low speed, they're actually going even slower :(

aye i know, i just wouldn't have thought it would have been quite so much as such (relatively) low speeds. i only thought that it would be around 5mph at 80+

maybe it's just that in km/h it seems a lot more or something :o

It just means those who got caught speeding were bigger tools than realised :p

Ok but can you explain to me what makes it as awkward as you say? I mean I don't see what is different about it to some of the other threads posted here in recent times or is it a case of bandwagon jumping on whatever someone thinks is boring so automatically becomes boring and it’s might as well be the end of the world?

Would like to know because I don’t want the world to end again…

Don't worry mate, we all know Fox rushed outside and tried this :p

Heh, if anything it's worth it just to see the funky dials and lights all dance at the same time:

:-/ looks better a night...

Edit*

Heh E39 has one too...

the only compensation they are likely to have is the same as what most manufacturers ecu's have, compensation for temperature and altitude. If they have "age compensation"...please link me to an article as I'd find it an interesting read. There aren't many ways an ecu could possibly counter the effects of an ageing motor, maybe injects botox?
