Weapons that are in the demo

pump action shutgun
uzi
pistol
M16 rifle
auto shotgun
hunting rifle

At the end of the demo, it says there will be 10 weapons in the full version.

Yes you would. Its basically going to be more of the same. If you're not hooked on the demo i'd leave it tbh.

yep its more expensive, i think you can buy a boxed version for £25 and register it in steam ... i bought it last week for £29 and if the demo is anything to go buy i'd pay double for the full game :)

can't wait... come to uni Monday, play Tuesday :p

the thinking above is why i do not regret having bought off Steam. the demo's been nothing but fantastic, and in addition to getting it when the US does, we haev it preloaded now, instead of having to wait till friday, go to the shops, grab it, install, etc :D.
 
So, the game comes out in retail over here on friday, but for those that bought it through steam, can play it on tuesday? That doesn't make much sense.

Yes it does - they charge more for buying it over steam so to tempt people to do that they give you the game earlier.

Makes perfect business sense really.

you can it for sub £20 delivered as well.

yeah and the funny thing is ive just spent more than an hour with a few other guys trying to complete subway level but always die when a tank comes or that witch decides to set up camp right behind the mini gun.

had fun today on the first level, the apartments. we were right near the end of the level. just as we were going down stairs some guy jumps on the car with the alarm and shouts over the mic "GET SOME!!!" so everyone else starts pegging it down the safe room, the guy on the car gets :o (you know) and i make a dash for the safe room with another guy but get pinned just before it and the guy i was following shuts the door on me. :rolleyes:

Very intense but i am getting a bit bored of the demo now especially the subway level, i quite like the first level instead. I wish the game was a little bit more open, i wish you could barricade yourself in a room and watch zombies bash the door down.

Have you tried the free zombie panic source game? It's not got the presentation of L4D but it's great fun battling it out barricaded in a tiny room with a swarm of zombies trying to get in.
 
I have ordered this game but not got it yet, but a friend of mine has the problem of the game not starting up, i know there is a fix for vista with the sound but does it apply for xp also?
 
Hehe on the apartment level find the toilet and get all 4 of you inside (expert) and close the door.

Wait for the horde and enjoy :D

We did Expert all the way through last night it was HARD.
