Annoyed!!

Renaults answer to saving money on soundproofing....never heard of that before. Nice enough wee car but my money would have went on an older, faster more fun clio.

Nice all the same.

Isn't that called Gamma or something? I know my MK4 Golf radio has that and I can adjust what levels it goes to or have it turned off. Quite a few radios do that.

Hmmm strange there doesn't seem to be a manual for the cd player will get on to the dealer about that. Anyone know where I can view one? Can't seem to see one on the auction site, it's a 56 plate btw :).

That isn't lit up thankfully! :p Anyway dunno if anyone can help as I've been out all day but I noticed as I was speeding up the strero system volume increased (at 40ish and 70 respectively), does it do this to compensate for the extra cabin noise at high speeds? It also seemed to do it when I was putting more rev's through the the car. Thanks!

Yup. My old XJ6 did that and it worried me the first time.

Cheers matey :). Anyone any advice on the manual other than getting the dealer to search for one? (Seat dealer so they may have to source one!)

To the internetz!! There must be one on here somewhere...

I have a Scenic, and I had the same feature on my old head unit. It can be switched off, however I can't remember the name of it, or how you do it! Sorry!

EDIT: Just put the model number into Google and you should get something.

haha no probs mate, I'm off to the dealer tomorrow anyway as the side lights (not the main headlights but next to them) keeping flicking off randomly! Still got warrenty anyway and it's only a day old so they've got it in for me at 8:30 in the morning. Will chase up the CD manual while I'm there.

Of the car or the CD player itself?

Dropped it off at 8:30 to get the lights sorted, got a crappy Seat in the meantime lol. Said they finish at 12:30 so I should get it back this morning. Gimps gave me a car with just enough petrol to get home so I will be getting my petrol money claimed back seeing as I've had to make a 30 mile trip there and back to get the lights sorted. They have been decent with me other than the petrol issue. Oh and the seat gear stick sucks balls, having to push it in to reverse.

GALA. It's a german acronym for speed dependant volume control. Get it set right and it's very useful.

Gamma is a VW Radio model.
