***Official Wrath of the Lich King Thread***(Contains spoilers)***

We are proud to declare that all WOTLK PVE raid content has now been cleared. This is both a moment of triumph and a cause for concern. The question in all our minds right now is if we could do this, how soon until the rest of the top guilds in the world clear all the raid content that WOTLK has to offer? Did Blizzard miscalculate in the tuning of these encounters? Or is this Blizzard folding under the weight of a large casual player base that demands to be on equal footing with end-game raiders?

Malygos down…

All PvE content cleared after a matter of hours! Hardcore will get bored quickly with this expansion. A bit of a pathetic attempt at a challenge by Blizzard. 70 - 80 and PvE content cleared in a couple days isn't really good enough even for the players that haven't logged off since it launched.

Heres a few I took last night.

Such beautiful screens. Now I don't know whether to roll an horde warrior or orc warrior. What do you guys reckon? Where does most of the OCUK lot play?

Is it a case of WOTLK content lacking any challenge or is it simply that top guilds these days are so damn efficient that to make it challenging for them would make it near impossible for everyone else?

That's still 48hours of gameplay for £20 and I'm sure it will be weeks/months before most people clear it all.

To be fair Naxxramas although was an AMAZINGLY fun instance Pre-TBC when my guild completed it is now common knowledge to the bigger guilds, so unless the encounters have changed (which I doubt because some of them were very tactical) then no wonder its clear already. (yeah I know its been upped for higher levels)

I agree most DK players suck. Because there are so many of them around I keep getting ganked by them and on loads of occasions now I have been jumped by one when I am on about 30-40% hp but came out as the winner.

A good example is that there was an Orc and BElf DK team going around questing and I kept on bumping into them where by they would gank me. Later on in the day I was heading to hand in a quest in Zanger and there was a 65 Troll Shaman near the hand in NPC which I accidentally clicked and auto attacked. He crapped his pants and legged it and then must have realised that I was 'only' level 62 so came back to teach me a lesson but I killed him and ended up with around 40% hp when the earlier mentioned Orc showed up on his own. Of course he attacks me thinking I am an easy kill, but I end up winning with about 5% hp left. He was unholy so came back as a ghoul so I just kited him with chains of ice and such like.

That sort of thing happened a lot while I was leveling yesterday and I find it good fun if its a 1on1 but too often than not it isn't.

Loving the DK by the way.... It makes a pleasant change and I am considering leveling one as my main. I have tried Frost and now Unholy but I am lost for what spec I prefer. The Unholy has some nice gimmicks like the ghouls and such but the burst damage of Frost was good fun!

How has everyone else speced their DKs?

Cheers.

48 hours to level to 80 and complete all the PvE content is pretty poor really, and thats assuming they didn't log off for 48 hours. I think there was enough content in the expansion but Blizzard obviously didn't tune it right in terms of difficulty. Usually they put up a hell of a challenge for the first guilds that get there then make it a bit easier for the casuals a few months later. They obviously walked the lot in a matter of hours with their level 70 gear. I stopped playing properly at TBC and I suppose I remember they days with the hardcore guilds stuck at bosses like C'Thun for weeks and weeks and then look where its come to now. Great for the casual player, it means they can access all the content and get the best gear. They make up the numbers and thats where the money comes from and thats what Blizzard wants so fair play really.

C'thun was "fixed" before it was killed. We were trying to kill him before the fix for like 3 weeks. Only "JUST" getting into phase 2 with like 4 ppl alive lol.

I know it was bugged, but still it was at least a challenge. Its just a comparison between then and now. Im not saying its a bad thing as this way its suited to 95% of the player base.

well after completing a certain quest line my character is bugged, unable to see any npcs, players or mobs. everything is deserted.

A GM has been looking at this for 4 hours, I was even asked to redo the last quest (battle for the undercity) can't complain at that its prob one of the best quests in the game.

But , alas it is still bugged

I think it's more a case of the guild being too efficient than the content being too easy to clear. This guild will have been in sunwell gear before WotLK hit. Sunwell gear is more than usable for raiding Naxxramas at 80, so they've not had to hunt around for upgrades like most players will.
Also, both Nihilum and SK Gaming (members of which this guild is made up of) were in the WotLK beta, and had plenty of time to learn the boss encounters before release.
Having raided this pre-TBC probably helped too.

10 man naxx cleared and 10 OS cleared also 25 man OS cleared

we are clearing 25 man naxx at the moment

a lot a lot of fun!

Only thing really putting me off buying this now is the fact that I love PVP, and they keep throwing levels at the game which in turn makes certain classes health bars pathetically big. Thats not to mention the HUGE resi now available on armor, the reductions in turn with the HP will lead to 2 hour fights! :x

God.

WoTLK raiding is so damn easy.

Think i'll just hit 80, and pvp or just quit, there is no point doing dumbed down raiding.

Yeh i believe it to be the same. My mate has a 68 DK and it was quite fun dueling him as prot warrior. The bone shield and something else just lowered my dps quite a lot.

A 70 DK tried to gank me in tundra he got the firts few hits in but i won with about 35% health left. Same goes for a 70 druid. 70 prot is so fun!
