Bit of a disappointing ep, I was hoping they were gonna put a 1000hp rated turbo on it or something similar that blew the engine!

Oh well, I suppose this is what top gear has become these days though

Good episode I thought, I still question why many on this forum watch Top Gear. It's pretty clear it's not the show that many on motors want...

Was an alright amount of BHP clawed back from the "service" on that Renault.
Waste on the brakes though. New tyres, more effort to reduce weight, some more stuff added to magic up more power and it'd be all lovely.

I've laughed but felt the engine blender was pointless and out of place by a mile.

And I bet you that tomorrow, when people discuss TG, it's the food blender they'll all be talking about.

That race looked like complete japes. We need more of that here.

We have plenty. Its called Rallycross. A few years ago, top-flight rallycrossers were hitting 60mph in under two seconds. On gravel.

I thought it was quite a good episode...Would have been a great one if they took the avantime challenge seriously.

So what would you recommend as a suitable alternative?

I would have thought that changing the brake discs would have made a bit of a difference.

I suspect they failed to realise that fitting larger diameter wheels can have a significant impact on performance...
