So, did I or didnt I?

Well done mate :)

Lose that mindset and you'll be fine.

I think its true, im not going to be a rounded knob about it i just think that learning to drive at test standard is harder, youve got to do so many little things which i think take up time and patience and make the traffic behind you get annoyed.. 10 + 2 ocklock positioning annoys me to hell, id rather it be 2 and 8, i feel that i have more control then.

Now ive passed, theres no way in hell im gonna drive like an idiot, i want my car to help me get around, im gonna be so dependant on it, theres no way in hell that im gonna put that at risk!

Well done, is a great feeling passing your test, even better when you have your own car. :)

Hopefully that wont be too long away.

going to be a while before insurance allow that.... lol.:(

take it easy, dont go understeering off into a ditch showing off to your mates. no wait, that was me. :o (few months after passing)

LOL!!!!

I wont be doing anything like that, well not until i have a decent car and money to go to a test track :D

Thanks.

Driving isnt as hard as learning to drive to test standard!

No, generally, life out on the roads without an instructor sat next to you giving advice is considerably harder. ;)

well done, i found driving easy made a few mistakes in my first month but since then its all good. This its now time to learn properly is a load of crap imho

This statement speaks volumes about how little you yet know about driving!

Driving is one of the few things in life that you will never learn fully, and just when you think you've seen it all, something comes along & bites you.

Congrats, just dont do what many new drivers do and act like numpties trying to impress their mates and wrap the car round a bus stop or similar!

I feel lost without a car now, i feel like i need one! :D

Im not out to impress anyone except myself! I did it for me and me only, so now ive got it im not gonna loose it trying to impress my mates... I actually dont think ill have my mates in the car much, at all due to the fact that ill feel wierd with them sat there whilst i drive, and if they put me off ill end up hurting them.. :D

Please, please keep your hands at 10 - 2 and feed the steering. Despite what you think you'll have more control in every-day driving than any other method. It's a really good habit to keep up after you've passed.

I hate being a passenger in a car with a driver whose hands are flapping around all over the steering wheel trying to negotiate a corner, lurching the car all over the place.

Congratulations on passing your test though :).

You get banned? :D

Haha, luckily no, insurance is bad enough as it is. Just got annoyed with driving when I had my 2nd accident in Jan and then other things have meant I have to wait a year...namely having money. :p

I did think basically 'sod it' in Jan towards driving, then about March time I was looking for new cars, I like driving too much. :p Still, not getting one till Jan/Feb now though due to funds.

I would be inclined to agree; the thought of me driving on my own once I've got a car is quite daunting. Just a case of getting as much experience as possible and becoming more comfortable and confident with it all.

I couldnt read the licence plate though! 3rd attempt.

He asked either of two cars so tried one, knew it was wrong so instantly went onto the other and he then said "do you want to try again" LOL :D

So they let you pass after failing the eye sight test  Or was it nerves or dyslexia?

Agrizzled. The learning never stops, much the same with the counting of idiots.
