Congratulations dude, best thing ever is passing your driving test :D

I look forward to your next sig - 'I have a 1998 Ford Fiesta 1.25 litre with electric windows, in green!' :D

Thanks, and more like 98 Punto in red with some custom speekers and a ratling from thr exhaust! im buying my mates off him lol, with any luck.

That feeling is going round and round and round!!

Congrats James, did you end up finding your licence or did they let you take it anyway?

Nah didnt find it man, i just did what the DSA on the phone and my instructor both said "dont tell them" lol :D Gave them my old one and my counterpart and they didnt say anything..

I couldnt read the licence plate though! 3rd attempt.

He asked either of two cars so tried one, knew it was wrong so instantly went onto the other and he then said "do you want to try again" LOL :D

Need them testing i think.

Oh actually let me mention.. My pass was 1st attempt!!

Well done mate :)

Lose that mindset and you'll be fine.

I think its true, im not going to be a rounded knob about it i just think that learning to drive at test standard is harder, youve got to do so many little things which i think take up time and patience and make the traffic behind you get annoyed.. 10 + 2 ocklock positioning annoys me to hell, id rather it be 2 and 8, i feel that i have more control then.

Now ive passed, theres no way in hell im gonna drive like an idiot, i want my car to help me get around, im gonna be so dependant on it, theres no way in hell that im gonna put that at risk!

Well done, is a great feeling passing your test, even better when you have your own car. :)

Hopefully that wont be too long away.

going to be a while before insurance allow that.... lol.:(

take it easy, dont go understeering off into a ditch showing off to your mates. no wait, that was me. :o (few months after passing)

LOL!!!!

I wont be doing anything like that, well not until i have a decent car and money to go to a test track :D

I feel lost without a car now, i feel like i need one! :D

Im not out to impress anyone except myself! I did it for me and me only, so now ive got it im not gonna loose it trying to impress my mates... I actually dont think ill have my mates in the car much, at all due to the fact that ill feel wierd with them sat there whilst i drive, and if they put me off ill end up hurting them.. :D

Ins quote for a 97 punto..

1800 with no breakdown.. :D SWEET!! Luckily enough i get breakdown cover with my HSBC bank account for any car im in ;)

Ouch with the quote, that is a lot of cash mate!
Is it deffo the punto you want? I suggest you look at your budget, and you insurance budget then make a nice thread on here asking for the best options. Pay attention to what people say here, they know a lot that you, and I, don't know.
Congrats on the pass, im nearly at the end of my two year period and I still love it... just hungry for a bigger and better car now :D

I know that the prices are goig to be high and to be fair, thats not too bad compared to what others would cost me, plus i can pay for this car weekly from my friend so its easier this way.

You can pay it weekly? How so? What happens when he changes his mind half way through your payments and wants it all? Who will be the registered owner of the car? Do you have any money saved up for a car?

Hes my best friend, known him my whole life, im close with all his family, they pretty much helped bring me up..

He wouldnt say that plus im signing the forms this week as its soon to be sorn as he isnt going to re MOT it as he lost his licence so i need to.

Mums just told me shes giving me £100 towards my car or insurance :D

Ok so it is going to be registered as your car? What condition is it in and when was it last serviced, is it likley to pass this mot?

He recently bought a clutch and air intake and the only issue that is known to him is the exhaust.. He wouldnt lie, hes not like that to me.

Should pass the MOT, i personally cant see anything wrong myself but im no mechanic, im gonna take it to this garage that he, his dad and my mum all use.. Apparantly hes good and dosnt rip u off so should be orite :D

Couldnt be more right. Its dangerous in my opinion the way they teach you. Because, the way you drive and learn is nothing like the way others drive on the road. Meaning your learning like 1 of a kind whilst everyone else does it that way.

Exactly!!!!
