Quite happy to let the eager beavers deal with all the little bugs so that Valve can iron it all out nicely for the retail crew come the weekend.

Here's an idea. Why don't you ping 5 or 6 and then infer something about the state of the rest. Not exactly rocketscience is it?

I've just set up four servers based in Manchester (via Idaq, hosted on the Manchester Uni backbone afaik).

One is private for fragM members/RL friends but the other 3 are open play. Would anyone from here mind trying them and letting me know if they work well for you?

They've locked the demo? Just told my nextdoor neighbour to download the demo to see if he liked it

Yeah, it is indeed locked now.

Bit silly, how are people 'late' to the party supposed to try the demo out to see if they want it?

Does the game download the full game after the demo is finished? Mine is saying pre-loading at the moment???

I havent paid for it by the way. Thinking about getting it though, loved the demo.

Says buy the game and play immediately? Or does that mean buy it and play tomorrow when its finished downloading?

Weird, I had the demo installed, then it said "blah blah time expired" in the mygames bit...

I haven't logged on all day, and it says preload complete

Maybe I can just add my key in then....rather than installing the disc etc...Should work.

WTF this thing hates me... Everytime I launch Steam I get the couldn't connect to steam networks... Even tho I've played the demo to death just a few days ago... I tried re-installing, deleting clientregister.blob, allowed it in my Firewall and opened the correct port in my router... I WANNA KILL ZOMBIES !!!!!!!!!!

The games just been released to a network of god knows how many people, all attempting to download and play it at the same time.

Have some patience =/

Mine says pre-load complete....Then iof you right click it and goto preload information, it says the game is laoded, so buy it then play immediately...

Or something along those lines

It does still say pre-loaded on the demo part.

Has the pound dropped any further. I think it cost about £33 last time I looked or just under £20 for Friday if you order online. But I have to stay up late tonight as Im on nights tomorrow.
