Got an email at 16.00.
"Your item (left4dead pc) has been posted". Last time i got an email like that was farcry2. It came the next day, so hopefully Left4dead will be with me tomorrow. Hopefully all the downloads will have calmed down and i can get onto a server first time!

It's Left 4 dead on steam, of course it's the full copy.

Jeez. Played No Mercy again from scratch... thought we were home and dry at the end of the second level when a second tank + zombie horde + hunter attack us. Caught with our pants down we panicked and ended up shooting eachother.
They def made it harder than the demo, so beware.

Came so close to completing the 'No Mercy' level...
We had defended the final roof area for ages, the chopper was imminent but a Tank climbed up onto the roof. It knocked down 2 of our guys and was battering them, I ran across and fired everything I had into the back of it's head. It turned round, took one swing at me and threw me off the roof to my death
My little distraction was enough to let my team take the tank down and make it to the helicopter. I took a hit for the team! At the end it comes up with all the stats for that campaign...it opened with 'In loving memory of I Like Turtles'
I have to say I'm loving it

I have ordered it online for under £20 to take away any temptation lol
At least you also have the option of selling the game on if you dont like it. Plus I find it really frustrating if I paid the £38 or whatever then had trouble finding a game.
All those that are playing it now can laugh but come Friday I know that we wont hear much from them on that front.

Try the developer console. Options > Multiplayer to enable it. Then press '`'. (Button next to 1)
Open up the developer console (has to be enabled through the options menu) and type:
connect 218.219.101.191:27131
You can also enable the server browser with the console by typing 'openserverbrowser'

unfortunately i havent been able to play the game at all.
I keep getting the connection timed out bug, tried all possible work arounds, opening ports on router, tried in DMZ mode, tried without router all with *** same result.
Hope im not the only person in this boat or a patch will be unlikely to fix the game for me.

this game is truly awesome!! only played one campaign with one mate and two bots (another mate joined in later) and it was so much damn fun...and a lot harder than the demo, even advanced is pretty tough, we called it a night after failing the dead air last stand about 5 times

I just played a few games withs oem random people on my server and it was immense. Just continued the demo campaign and died repeatedly at the last stand on the rough of the hospital. An amazing game
I've been so focused on playing fallout 3 that i have ignored left 4 dead completely, Is there any demos for it at all so i can see what its like (normaly i would just splash out and buy it, but im unsure if i would like it as im not normaly a horror/zombie sort of game fan, but co-op is tempting). I read something about a demo before the game was released which is now no longer available or something, will a new demo be released or am i completely out of luck?
Your probably out of luck for now...unless they do a weekend special thing...but they won't do that for a while I would have thought.
