Classics you've never seen.

Wash your mouth out!

As mentioned above 12 Angry Men is a superb film - doesn't matter that it is black and white.

Also try Dr Stangelove and M.

I loved Dr. Strangelove. If anything, the fact it was in black and white simply gave it more character!

well ive seen about 2 of the films mentioned so far so im missing a lot :p

to add to the lsit thgouh, i ain't seen scarface or godfather

Both, good m8. Not great, but worth watching. They're a tad weird as well, so you have to stick with them. :p

I've never seen any of the Godfathers, but I think that's my worst offence worthy of mentioning here.

I shall watch them then mate ;) Running out of films to watch.

You'll approve of this though, i watched the Bourne Trilogy ;) 1st one was easily best

Until recently the most deaths per minute on film and the first 18 certificate I watched. Have you watched it again recently? If not then I'd advise you not to, it's better to remember it how you think it was than how it actually is.

I've got it on VHS somewhere and am now itching to put it on again. And all of you whining about Shawshank, get over it. I thought it was rubbish and had to force myself not to turn it off. Even Morgan Freeman couldn't save it for me and I like practically everything else he's in.

Citizen Kane - its supposed to be the best movie EVER.

It's alright. It was amazingly ground-breaking for it's time (so you have to watch it in context) but I wouldn't say it was the best movie ever, all of course IMHO. :) :o

Road House? Snatch? Bourne Trilogy? Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels? Others?

The term 'classics' is definitely used loosly in this thread :D

The lord of the rings trilogy
Godfather
Pulp Fiction

Ok possibly ot classics but all regarded as good films

Also dont think ive watched a single black and white film

The Deer Hunter is definitely a great film, and probably deserves classic status, not sure I'd have it as the best film of all time though. That's a tough one.

I'm not even sure what I'd pick for my favourite film of all time.

Pulp Fiction.

I've tried 4 or 5 times to watch it and never made it more than about 40 minutes in. Just didn't get it.

Never seen Schindler's List either.

not seen dr strange love, Was talking about this very subject with a work collegue recently... the peter seller converstation led to this. most films he did were classics.
I've seen another one of his old films the lady killers or something black and white with alec guiness, very good film not sure if its a classic though..
