Holland to ban magic mushrooms

I am pretty sure that from some of the studies things like alcohol and cigarettes should be banned if they are assessed the same why other drugs are now.

The horse tranq is a class c, and yeah weed should be a class c as well :\
 
Shrooms had the better impact than weed when i went their last also best when u wana smile and laugh on the night instead of being dull faced. :p

And I think that anyone that takes cannabis for grunted saying its harmless is a ****ing idiot :) REMEMBER - its my opinion.
 
Coming from a 16 year old...I reckon a lot of problems with drugs could be sorted if at school you were given the full picture and made your own decisions. Instead of it being:

Cannabis - BAD! gives you psychosis/schizophrenia
Ecstasy - BAD! makes you die

Never told anything about acid/mushys at school. Tell people the full facts. I reckon a lot of drug taking is just out of curiosity and ignorance of the actual effects - at my age anyways...

It does, it has taken me the best part of five years to sort my mind out because of that crap! I'm not saying cannabis will effect people exactly the same everyone is different obviously and I did abuse it:o, I'm just sick of little naive pond life hippies making out its harmless when its not, fact!
 
I took shrooms in the dam. Went really well. I then took truffles and had a bad trip. I strongly advise against bad trips, they are very bad. My buddy who's a memebr here had a great trip off the same truffles, so it was obviously a state of mind thing. Ho hum.

Cocaine is extracted from coca leaves, and is thus effectively natural: all the extraction does is concentrate it. Otherwise you could just chew the leaves, as many in South America still do. .

Heroin is a little more complicated: it's made be acetylating morphine, which is of course, extracted from opium poppies - see above. Once inside the body it it converted back to morphine within minutes: the rush is actually from the morphine, not the diamorphine that is the parent compound. So it could reasonably be argued that this is pretty much "natural" as well.

Of course MDMA is entirely artificial, so I assume you're in favour of banning that?

Not exactly. Under the old rule, mushrooms containing psilocin or any of its esters (typically psilocybin, aka psilocin phosphate) were class A if they had been "prepared", but legal if they had not. The trouble was, the law never bothered to define "prepared" and case-law struggled to do so, so most case that came to court got bogged down in arguments about whether (say) drying in an airing cupboard was "preparation" (usually, yes). All the change did was make the law simple enough for even druggies to understand.

The market place in Brighton used to sell them along with growing kits before the banned, I assumed at the time as long as they were not dry they were legal to obtain just not to consume lol.
