The MacGyver thread.

You don't state what we have to measure the bottle in (cm/Inches etc). A 2l coke bottle is exactly 2 cans of Carlsberg and a DVD wallet's width tall.

Do I win?

Technically I suppose you could find the dimensions of such items online, and none of those items are prohibited. I think I have to hand you it.

I took a 2p (almost ecactly 1" in diameter), and a 1p (almost exactly 2cm in diameter), and drew myself a ruler in 2 colours of ink, up the edge of a sheet of paper.

sure but he would make the thermite from some old pocket lint, a piece of string, a bottle of white out and the dust bunnies from the corner of the room

Is it not the sin rule that you can guess the height of a huge building using angles? In this a bottle of beer or something? I did it in maths class while ago can't really remember it just now.

But that requires existing knowledge of coin sizes and a pocket full of shrapnel.. might as well say you used your wangometer. Its size having been determined from the measurements all men carry out :p

/edit I will admit you have given me some useful knowledge I can use for future estimation :)

As per the rules, you can use the internets.

How would make your angle measurer?

Can we use google?

Next question is open to whomever can be bothered.
